How to customise controls for online matches

Guys, there is one problem with FIFA07 that I am currently stumped with: how do you bring your customised controls to online matches (matches via LAN and Direct IP)?

FYI, I'm a long-time PES player, and am very comfortable with the default controls of PES. I like the fact that now in FIFA07 you can change the controls to follow the New settings (which follows closely PES's default controls).

However, this change couldn't be brought to online matches. I've tried and tried a lot of times and it definitely cannot be brought to online matches. I've loaded my profile and restarted an online match, but still no customised controls. It still follows the "Classic" settings even though I've customised my controls to "New".

Or have I done something wrong? Any of you guys facing the same problem as I am? Do you know any workaround? Please help me out, coz I'm at a serious disadvantage every time I go online.

I know, some of you might say, "Just get used to FIFA's Classic controls," but I want to be able to play both PES and FIFA at the same time, and change games any time I want. That's why I prefer to use only 1 type of control... and to me, PES's controls are more natural...

I hope FIFA07's multitool will be able to fix this in the future.

I'm interested in this one too as I use my own settings. I vaguely remember this problem from last year and I may have had to edit the config file at some point.

I have also that problem, i ve posted on forum a lot of times this question,but no one can help us. I cant play with the classic configuration, so i dont play online

Eh? Really? I haven't tried playing online ever since I applied the official patch, so maybe they have fixed the controls problem. I'm not sure. I'll try again tonight.

But FYI, I play online only via Direct IP or LAN, not via EA Sports Online network thingy... Couldn't care less to subscribe to it... If only it's free, just like PES's online service.

It is free if you purchased the game! Thanks for leeching though... I'm sure EA thanks you as well...
