How to defend?

How are you supposed to defend in pro mode?
Anyball that in the air, free kick or corner the opposition always gets the header and usually scores. Amature mmode is too easy but pro mode is unfair, defenders catch up to easy even if i put players up to 7 on running. I hope a patch will fix this.
