How To Have Multiplayer With Direct IP?

I've been reading the Multiplayer problems people have and read how to do it but nothing answers it correctly. I want to play my mate over the Internet with Direct IP . I want to Host and he will Connect. I need to know what to put under each column ('Name', 'IP Address', 'Your IP Address') and what my mate has to write Thanks in advance!
