How will he be remembered?

A lot of people are saying that Zidane possibly cost his team the cup by his actions... while they were most definitely stupid, the fact is it's pretty doubtful he cost them the cup unless people are assuming he would have scored in extra time. The fact is Trezeguet still would have taken a shot and there's no reason to t hink because Zidane was in the game he would have made it. Of course it's possibly he may have, maybe he had to run too much but to say that Zidane cost them the match is unfair. That being said, a player of his caliber needs to rise above and beyond and be able to resist being baited though he's human just like the rest of us. I saw a kind of good discussion about this also on www.zizoufoul.com - they also had a couple of t-shirts but one good funny t-shirt of it. I actually think I might get that one. Anyway that's all just my opinion.

Any thoughts as to how he will now be remembered because of this? Do you guys think it's fair that he may be negatively remembered because of this one moment?

zidane is zidane. those who know football, know zidane is a legend. those who don't will know him as that guy who headbutted in the final. in a couple years no one who doesnt give a **** will care or remember what happened.

to the people who do care, zidane will be a legend who lost his cool in his last game. end of story. please stop with the zidane threads and more with the italy are world champions threads (H) i wont get enough of those.(if any are made)

I also agree 100% here.

BUT, had I been a France fan, I would have gone mental seeing him do that and maybe throw away the title (who knows). But being a neutral here makes ZIdane a complete legend in my eyes.
