http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4509937 pic from game , no wonder the cpu wins most headers in the game. I always wondered why my bigger player we beaten to a ball coming down by the smaller cpu players or when as in the pic, my player is just about to bring the ball onto his chest, and yet the ball his headed clear the cpu player right behind him.. Now I know, cpu players can melt through our player to win the ball, while ours doing trying for the same tackle/header give away freekicks.
Cheating cpu ...
Not only that but a replay of a tackle proved another one of my bug bears.
. Cpu player with back to your players , a pass is played to him and I run one of my players at him. My player closing in, the cpu player lifts his foot to take control of the pass, as soon as the cpu player does this, my player, who I am in control of , stops dead in this tracks and this allows the cpu player time to control the ball and turn.
Super Cancel I here you shout !
I caught one on an ingame replay, my player this time has his back to the cpu players, I play a pass up to him and as I do a cpu player is closing in, just like my player does to a cpu player in the same position. Only this time, when my player lifted his foot to take the ball under control ( the trigger to that stops my tackling player mid run) the cpu player doesn't stop, nothing auto stops his run, my player doesn't get the time to take the ball under control. The cpu player came right into the side of my player and knocked the ball away and made me stagger, allowing him to get the loose ball.
I always thought that my players being stopped mid run , when trying to close down a cpu player taking a pass under control, was part of the gaming engine a fault or a side effect of the programming.
This proves that these auto stops on my players are not a fault or side effect of the programming , but are in fact programmed in by Konami. And as such can be taken out!
I have always said that there was no need for these Super Cancel buttons, why when you can program the game to keep your players moving when you have control of them or keep them moving when you hit L1 , or move a forward from a standing start. Why do you have to hit SC to restart your players runs after these induced stops. When they can simpley write these auto stops out.
The one about your foward ,I don't know how many times Ive seen this over the years, hit a ball up to the box as you do you hit L1 to take the standing foward under control. As soon as you do, you should be able to move him out towards the incoming ball, but you can't! You have to hit 2 more buttons (SC) after you have hit the L1 button to get the player to move..
There is no need for it , no need for SC , just get Konami to rewrite these auto stops out that aide the cpu team. Taking them out won't harm the game , it would make it better more life like, even more free flowing. Just becuase I wouldn't have to hit SC , wouldn't mean that I would always get to the cpu player taking the passing.
Why would you want to have to press two button at the same time, to keep your players moving or to start your player moving. When all Konami need do I rewrite that piece of the game program..
Anyway hitting SC doesn't always bring you the result you want, standing your player in the middle of the park waiting for the ball to drop down from a kickout. Your told hit SC and you can move your player to get a header in, when in fact 3 different things happen when you hit SC with your player marking the say CF. 1, when you hit SC, your player moves back a yard (clear header or control for Cpu player) 2, hit SC as the ball is dropping and your player raises his hands and pushes the cpu player (freekick to cpu ) 3, hit Sc and your player spins to the side again same result as 1, the cpu player gets a free header or has time to take the ball under control...
Come on Konami , take the need for SC out of the game and let the players run free without being stopped to suit the cpu team.
