It's a fun game to play...it's only disappointing that the game only consists of two modes...Fifa Tourney and Friendly. Oh well, that was expected.

The tackling problem like in the CPU demo isn't as annoying on the PS2. The "drunken tackle" does happen, however not as often.

As for the "Superman Headers"; they are still in the game, but if you don't want it, don't fill up the shot bar all the way when the ball is in the air.

The gameplay is fast paced, fluid, and fun...by far the most realistic "air play" ever. While some parts of the game are still mind bendingly wrong, overall, this game is pretty damn good.

I can't wait til' fifa 2003, so i can play leagues with this game's, and perhaps improved, gameplay.

Oh well...by the way, Electronics Boutique has had this game for sale since the 22nd (i got it on the 23rd). EBworld.com...they also deliver to european and other countries...check'em out.

That's about it...I just wish the PS2 could be connected to the internet, so i could work some of yall' in this game.

Can you play as two separate teams in a tournament? (You couldn't in FIFA 2002)

If this isn't in it, I'm not buying it.

Where's the fun in getting all your mates around to play through the World Cup if you can't all pick different countries?

Has anyone managed to get a straight answer from EA about this?
I've tried god knows how many times and don't get anything.
This option was in almost every other incarnation of this game and yet all of a sudden they take it out.

The moves are as follows:

R1=step over

2xR1=double step over

Triangle+R1= left to right fake (hold both buttons)

Double tap Triangle and R1 at the same time= sweep across

(I think there are other moves, but i can't think of one, and i don't know any others...for now)

-The other special moves are juggling moves...stand still. hold R1, then tap R1 again, and he'll lift the ball, then just keep pressing R1 to tap the ball up again and again and again (this is in the book...just read the game's book, and all this info is in it). You use L2 and R2 also to do different touches in the air, and double tapping either the R1 R2 or L2 buttons do different juggling moves.

That's all i can think of

As for multiplayer tournaments...nope, not that i know of.

What's the big deal..just set up ur own tournament on paper, and play friendly matches...that's what my friends and I did (By the way, I won!).

I get your point about that. But I'd still rather have the option in the game as drawing a tournament out on paper isn't anywhere near as much fun and is the kind of thing the game should do.
Also, you don't have that random factor of who wins out of the teams you don't pick.

The other problem with this idea is that it negates me buying WC as I can just as easily achieve it with 2002 and with more realism (player positions/squad rosters) with the player editor.

Nice work EA. You've saved me $50.:rolleyes:

Go to Electronic Boutique and buy it now! This game is pretty nice...too bad there's no creation center, but the gameplay is a lot better than Fifa 2002.

As for the tourney thing...yah, i see your point...but you might as well buy this game, just for the world cup tourney, and the realism of the game itself...

(at least let this game past the time between now and fall 2002 when fifa 2003 is released)

nope...man...why'd u ask that in this page...wow...this is old skool!

Fifa 2004 will be ps2 online compatible...as for fifa 2003...only pc can be online multiplayer
