Why is it in California (i don't know about other parts of the US) that people are soooo scared of rain? A bit of rain and we need to cancel tryouts, practices, games..? why cuz we might fall over? why cuz the grass gets cut up? grass groes back, unlike when it's 105* outside in the middle of the summer

i'm sick of this nonsense about being scared of rain

Move to washington state, man. We used to embrace it there. Some of the best practices I ever had were practice games against the local girls side in driving rain on a waterlogged pitch (part of the reason I love Chelsea, right there). Then again, that was cause we were 14 and had no skill

did you mean to put this in the players forum, by the way

Rain makes women horny.

When I was living there, it was always a cause for celebration because it was so rare, you know? So long as it didn't become heavy enough to trigger mudslides and ****.

its like this in Rotherham with snow. Seriously, just the forcast of light "flurry" and the United game will be called off.

Seriously guys, watch the postponed fixtures next year, first off is always Rotherham...

Rain is the best weather for football. I just hope it poors down next time I have a match. Not played during rain this year.

The Man From Ohio
We're not scared of anything here in Ohio. The people of California are just a bunch of pansies.

i went to the Brighton game today against Luton. was absolutely pissing it down, we all got given those bin-liner poncho things due to the fact that there was no cover on our stand :(

the pitch was awful and players were skidding everywhere, terrible match yet incredibly entertaining.

I've played in the rain many many times in the US.

Btw, it doesn't rain very much in England, right? I've always had the impression that it's bright and sunny.

Make America Great Again
The rule for us was that we would always play in any rain, but the game got cancelled if there was lightning because there's a big risk that someone could get hit in an open field. Maybe there was lightning and that's why they cancelled? And as far as practice is concerned, who likes practice? ****, if they hadn't cancelled a practice in the rain I'd probably make up an excuse and not go anyway.

my team practices in rain and i live in cali.

i think it all depends on the coach, maybe he doesn't want his clit to get wet.

Pissin it down with rain is great, especially in Defence or Midfield as sliding tackles are ****in lush. Only two weathers conditions I absolutely hate are heavy winds, try playing against the wind in an open field pitch, or cut up dry muddy pitches, as its nearly impossible to move the ball. But yeah rain kicks ass(H)
