I have never played PES...but since Fifa 2004 blows (I am so incredibly dissapointed)...I will of course give the demo a try.
And most people tend to agree...PES is for those who want football not graphics.

There is just one thing I wonder about. The player names...will there be a patch for the PC version with the correct player names for the national teams? And are the players editable?

I know it´s a silly question...but I think "real" players add to the realism.
But I don´t care a bit if Beckham has the right hair do or something like that. *lol*

to be honest mostly all the national teams have the correct player names...

and i most certainly think that in the pc version patches will become available

and there is also a disc for the ps2 that fixes all the player names

And there are more than 70 national teams, right?

Fifa only has like 35...

UK PAL works fine on Aussie machines, no dramas..

the iss/pes/we series has tended to focus on the national teams. even in isse 2 for the psx, there were 50 odd national teams.

Even if there`s no patch, you can always edit the player`s name and looks in edit mode. In edit mode you also can call players to NT, creatin` new ones, kits, etc without havin` to much crashing problems like EA`s Creation Centre. Don`t expect players faces to look like photos, they`re simillar but still not good as FIFA`s faces.

australia uses the PAL format.

Honestly...I couldn´t care less about faces. I don´t get the obsession with faces among Fifa fans.
Why don´t they just get an issue of cosmopolitan instead?

graphically, PES3 and WE7 still wins. In 3d, Fifa may win, but textures wise, Fifa 04 faces looks like patches made by 12 years old.
