Right, you are still foregoing a chance of winning 500 pounds (a better chance than it was before 1st leg was played) by locking in a guaranteed 40 pounds or so for example.

One bookmaker I saw was offering odds of 4-1 on there being less than 2.5 goals scored in the match, which seemed like an excellent bet to me. If I was betting from the brain rather than the heart that's where I would have put my money.
