I have kow won EVERYTHING. After CL, league, EURO, FA CUP, World Cup etc etc with Newcastle & England I quit to join Wycombe.

After that, I quit for 3rd Div Wycombe.

1st season - promotion
2nd season - undefeated promotion champions
3rd season - promotion
4th season - UEFA Spot
5th Season - Runners Up FA Cup winners
6th season - WINNERS OF THE FA CARLING PREMIERSHIP!!!!!

I am telling you, I CANNOT LOSE! Everyone in the league is doomed if I carry on this form.

I have just retired because there IS NOTHING LEFT TO WIN IN ENGLAND....PHYSICALLY AND LITERALLY!

I am probably going to start a new game in an S. American 2nd Div.

I wish I had that same problem! I always lose.

Just started a new game with Tottenham and have already signed Rachubka, Wes Brown, Wallwork, Dalla Bona, West and Mutiu.

I won the first league match against Newcastle and that's as far as I've gotten with my new game.

Decided to play 442. Any tips??? Tactics? Players?

Hmmm....

In my game a young Irish lad named Martin Walsh appeared in your Spurs reserves in 2004 or so. I bought him for 2.1 million.

He was top scorer in CL for me.

Have a GOOD customized training program. A MUST.
Pick a tactic with no less than 4 defenders.
If your keeper concedes more goals than games played, he is crap.
Nordic countries and Eastern bloc countries have the best center defenders.

Can't agree with all of those tips shearer. I have done rather well with Liverpool, 3 of 4 Premierships, and feel I have to put my input in on this one.

First of all, Martin Walsh was regenerated, so simonius will more than likely never see a player with that name, much less his talent.

Secondly, defenders are NOT a priority, trust me, if you can't do that, trust the guys in the dugout forums. I have successfully used a tactic of my own which has 3 CDs, 2DMs, 3 AMs, and 2 SCs. NO WINGERS and 3 DEFENDERS. It really works.

It is not always the keeper's fault. A lot of times, a keeper will concede loads because the defenders are crap, but don't jump to conclusions about a good keeper. Sander Westerveld played what I thought was crappy, so I sold him. Brought in Dmitris Eleftheropolous, and he didn't get the job done, so I figured it was my defence. This summer I brought in Pasanen and Barry, they should get the job done.

For great players, look no further than Sweeden. Kennedy Bakircioglu, Sharbel Touma, and Kim Kalstrom are all brilliant. For great players check the Sweedish U-21 team, and the best avg. ratings for the past season.

And finally from me, don't buy unprovens like Brown, Wallwork, Rachubka, Dalla Bona, West, and Mutiu, in my game they are nothing special. Try Ronaldinho, Chivu, Karlsson, Jan Vennagoor of Hesselink. Buy good players, not hopefulls.

My keeper condeded 20 goals in 44 games.
That is how I play.

Defenders are a must or you end up playing Kevin Keegan football with games ending 4-3 and 3-3.

If you have a STRONG defence you stop their posession. And that is the key to winning in CM. The winner of the posession game usually wins.

And I disagree with the Swedish. The good ones are all horribly expensive. And the others are mediocre players with decievingly high stats. I never bought any Swedes except for a fellow named Peter Mard.

I beat them in the World Cup final, BTW.

Anyhow, check out Milan Baros. He is very good. Like 30 goals in 20 games good.

And how did Sweeden get to the WC? Good players. My keepers usually concede 1 for 1, or a little worse, but I still lost only 2 premiership games last season. Still I have no trouble giving up one goal, because my attack force is so strong, Diesler, Murphy, Ronaldinho, Palermo, and Owen as starters. But with only 3 in the back it is true that my keeper will never concede 20 in 44.

For training in general I put Defenders in General, Midfielders in Medium Fitness Light Tactics Medium Shooting and Intensive Skill, and for Strikers and Attacking Midfielders in Medium Fitness Light Tactics Intensive Shooting and Medium Skill.

You can also experiment with more intensive training regimes for the youngsters, since they don't play much, or ever, and you want them to Improve.

Of course the training might as well be nothing without great coaches.
