I need URGENT help regarding Direct X

Please someone help me!!

I am using Direct X version 9, but my FIFA 2004 fails to load as it gives an error message - you need Direct X version 8.1 to play FIFA 2004. This is getting really frustating. All my other EA and non-EA games using Direct X 8.1 or higher are working fine.

Please help.!!

Zain here you Pakistani so i want to tell you that install directx from fifa2004 then install direct x 9.0b and you should be fine if not only install the one on the cd and update your video drivers

Thanks to you both...I am currenly downloading Direct X 9.0b from microsoft.com. lets see if it works. thanks anywayz.

Strange as it may seem but i have direct x 9.0 installed but i was told that my graphics card don't even support 8.1!! And the game works for me, So is it really needed?
