If Man Utd failed to win the championship this term, Am expecting them to wait a little longer before they will ever have solid chance to win again.. their backbone dis yr has been Neville, Scholes, and Giggsy.. which all are over their 30s.. wif C Ronaldo and Rooney flashing their brilliance occasionaly... I think dis term is the only solid chance of Man Utd wrestle the crown from Chelskie... If they faile this time... Fergie need to rebuild again... those guys need a solid replacement to continue the challenge... Ironically, Chelsea can simply flash their cheque book to improve every department.. and I really hope Man Utd win... two reason 1) they are playing the best football 2) to let Maurinho know that he is not "The Special One"

Well that's the money they received from the Mikel transfer. They even made a few million profit by selling Ruud to Madrid.

And I've yet to make up my mind what's more insane, to offer €30M for Hargreaves or to reject it.

What kind of conversions are you all using?

Carrick was bought for 14 million pounds (21 million EURO, not 27). The other 4 million pounds may come and may not come, it's a conditional offer, which depends on how well United do.

Hargreaves' bid was 17 million pounds (25 million EURO), so where is the 30 million EURO coming from? Was their another rejected bid of 20 million pounds offered to Bayern that i didn't hear about?

The funny thing is, anyone except for Chelsea supporters see how much Abra actually is spending on players. They are fooling themselves, sure Man U have spent money, but not that amount in 2 years. Yes we have spent 30 mln before, but that was mostly our only purchase in a summer

I disagree about Neville, Scholes, and Giggs being the backbone and Ronaldo just popping up occasionally. Ronaldo has been one of the players of the season and he was flying against Villa today. If Man U hold onto him I think they can build the team around him and Rooney and be very successful.

Bayern's general manager said they rejected an increased €30M/20 million pound bid in the last days of the summer transfer window and will do the same in January.
