Looks like a tackle and bear in mind its the refs judgement whether its a backpass or not...so it could be both...muaha:mrpimp:

Could have been a tackle, although he was not very close to the player when he kicked the ball, as the defender knocked it a bit too far in front of him (as you can see). I cannot see that happening in a real game and it not being seen as a backpass.

Its up to the ref...

The keeper would know not to pick it up if it was a backpass, so to put a feature in where the backpass rule could be broken would be more frustrating than the handballs. Imagine a simple passback being picked up by your keeper in the last minute of a cup-final! You'd smash the screen in with rage! I'm sure there is no rule built in to the game that would allow this to happen, but who knows - PES is full of surprises.

I can only assume in my case that because i was trying tackle the player, this was seen as a tackle not a pass, and the ball just happened to go straight to the keeper. No way would he get away with that in real life though.

Indirect free kicks cannot be awarded in the current implementation of the Konami games (or any other games). Instead the game is hardcoded to avoid situations where it would be an indirect freekick and force a direct kick instead (i.e. the case of obstruction would not be called until you drop the player). You can't expect to get a back pass call.

I never expected to get a backpass call - just appeared i had found an 'error' in the game, although it seems likely that as i was tackling at the time, it didn't see it as a pass.

Funny sig the_man. That pic from the guy on Miami fusion looks just like this kid that was on my highschool soccer team, facial expressions and all. He played soccer like a gay hair dressser :)

That doesnt look like a backpass. But there is one more mistake that i can add too. When a penalty is taken there are people in the area other than the kicker before the ball is hit. And once the keeper saved it and one of the other attackers scored. After watching the replay i was plenty pi$$ed and threw the pad at the telly.

Erm in real life if the ball comes from a defender but was not intended as a pass for keeper, it is legel for the keeper to pick the ball up. There is nothnig wrong with what happened in your game because it came from a tackle, not a pass.

"Backpass Law
A goalkeeper is not allowed to touch the ball with his hands if it is intentionally passed to him by a team-mate."

Plenty of time in real football a player will make a tackle, or maybe slice a clearance and the keeper picks up the ball; it always gets appeal from attacking team but the ref never gives this because they didnt intend for the keeper to recieve the ball.

just see another weird thing. I was loosing to top of the league 3-1 when he broke away..i was down to 9 men. Anyway i took him out in the area, at least 3 yards in the area from the side. Commentator said "its a penalty" I was booked . Then it give a freekick instead 5 yards outside the area. Weird. The commentator also corrected himeself saying something along the lines of "no the refs given a freekick"
