Right, i'm going to ECTS (Computer Trade Show) in London next week, and Konami are going to be there. I will ask them and get it from the horse's mouth exactly what is happening with PES3/WE7 on the PC, as if anyone knows they will. I know this has virtually been confirmed already, but nothing would cement it more than word from Konami Europe themselves would it!? Especially if we could get a release date. Assuming they tell me anything of course....!

I was there yesterday and they indeed confirmed it, although were pretty sketchy on details, and didn''t seem to know a great deal. They said an official announcement with spec etc. would be made soon, and no doubt we'll start seeing features on the game in PC mags. PES3 on the PS2 looks and plays fantastic though, and this game is absolutely going to kick FIFA up the arse!

Well, i'm not really the best person to ask, because the only incarnation of Pro Evo i've ever played is the Pro Evo 2 on the original Playstation - and even that was via the ePSXe emulator on my PC. I only got to play it for a short time, but all i can say is that it was the most enjoyable PC footie game i've ever played. To say that it makes FIFA pale into significance is a major understatement. Really, i cannot quite understand how anything EA can produce this year will compete - my only worry is that no-one seems to know whether PES3 (PC) will have online play? A major oversight if they don't, as then what more has FIFA to offer? Not that i would buy a footie game simply because it had online play, but it will surely impact sales if PES3 doesn't offer this feature!

Maybe (probably) I'm in the minority here, but I'd rather KCET worry about doing a quality port of the game to PC before bothering with writing Network code for online play. Give us a good playable version on the PC first; they can worry about online options for WE8/PES4.

I just want a GOOD football game on the PC, I'll worry about playing people in other parts of the world later!

I agree... throw in some LAN options if they have the time but just RELEASE THE GAME!!

I don't care so much on the internet options since dsl in greece is still expensive. I want a Lan but if it's possible for hem they should put multiplayer game.

I've read something that online games will start from 2004 or smth.
Maybe Konami will make a patch for pes3 which will make a net code or make a new program that will be for multiplayer games of konami. For example u select the product u wanna play and press join.

Or someone may write a net code.

If PES 3 is genuinely coming for PC, an on-line multi-player PES/WE will follow along very quickly (ie. in time for PES4/WE8).

It may be a year or so away but the best gaming experience ever is coming soon to your PC .
