Hi Im new here and am in need of alittle advice. Ive been playing soccer for many years, I am 20 years old and still have hopes of atleast playing in some sort of semi-pro league. My question is, Im only 5foot 4 and 1/2 inches tall which converts to aout 167cm UK I think. Im about 138lbs, Am I too small to live out my dream, will I be lacking too much, or is this not a huge issue? thanks in advance for any help. ) cheers

If you're good enough, size is the last thing that will prevent you from being a footballer. Especially if yer aiming for a semi-pro league. If you feel you're too skinny, work out a bit.

If you're good enough, it won't be an issue. The good thing about football is that if you have other skills it can always make up for your lack of height

for Shawn Wright Phillips it's good upper body strength and his blistering pace.

for Zola it was his immaculate ball control.

Listen, your length will not at all effect you. I'm Maltese, and we are a rather "small" race. I stand only 175 cm and is considered "rather tall". Ive seen people mhuch shorter me whistle shots past 6ft and over german keepers... If youve got technique and speed, don't be afraid.
