If you shoot low on goal, and it goes wide, and it comes against the adbords the ball cames back in the field, if we can set that invisseble wall in the field the ball cant go out:), but first we must find the file with the invissible wall, sorry for my poor english, if someone doesnt understand just say it, than I will try to explain better:S

And I still haven't found the data of the back-bouncing :'(

BTW: Your English is OK. Try talking Dutch, English and German at almost the same time, that's a bigger problem... :(

I think FerdyKorp has a point, there's also another thing that makes the ball bounce: the post. But I doubt that that can be changed. But there must somewhere b some lines that tells the ball to bounce back. Have you asked Bolzer about this invisible wall. I think he knows or can find it.

i see you made the adboards closer to the pitch. well maybe there is a way that you can stretch the adboards so that they are taller. like instead of 256x64 adboards, you can stretch it so that it is 256x256. I do not know if thats possible to do, but if there is a way to do it, then im pretty sure it will solve ur problems since the balls bounce off them already when they are out of bounds.

Then you have to edit one of those ini files. I think there might be a parameter that changes the way the ball bounces off objects (ie goal posts, goalie deflections) if there is that option to edit, you got to make it more bouncy so that it can be used with the stretched adboards.

like i said, im not sure if any of this works. give it a try and make sure u back up ur original files. u never know what you might discover

gooodluck

I couldnt agree more, thats the first thing I thought of. Stretch the adboards. Secondly, I was thinking, just use different textures for the addboards so that they tile and appear something like a brick wall- if you go with this idea im more than happy to make the tile gfx for you.

Stretching or moving the addboard will not affect on
the ball-bouncing data.
I wish it was so easy.

In fact, if we want to get the data for the ball-bouncing etc,
I think we must be able to read EA's files.
Some of the files are easy to access now (.big,.fsh,.o,.dnt etc)
but others ae still only editible with a hexedithor and that's very, very difficult.

The thing about ball bouncing was, if I don't remember wrong, quite simple to fix in FIFA 2002. There was some lines in the ini.big which set the height and distance from centre-field.

So you could make these very high and just move them to where ever you wanted.

Problem solved. :D

Yes, that was called addboard collision or something like that.
But now, in 2003 that line aren't in the ini.big anymore.
Worser: I can't find them in any file :'(
