How 'bout that Indian team?
I went to watch the match in a community hall where they were getting a streaming video off the internet. 900 people inside the hall and the atmosphere was better than anything I've ever seen before. Fantastic stuff. What are your views on Irfan now, Javed Miandad?

Whenever people have passed unfriendly remarks about this Indian team they have been made to eat their words. All pre-series bull**** resorted to people to pressurise the Indian batsmen has gone awry. the best examples are shane warnes famous chin music talk when India went to australia and now javed miandad's comment on irfan and Indias batsmen.
one can also remember what shoaib akhtar spoke about sachin and other Indian batsmen prior to their world cup match last year in south africa. the whole world knows wat happened in that match. ditto with andrew caddick of england and shane bond and co from new zealand. they spoke about reopening Indian wounds picked up in new zealand before their match with India in the world cup...wat happened next...??? thats history.
so i guess this is a good lesson to all and sundry who talk nonsense about the INdian team and its batsmen to just KEEP THEIR MOUTHS SHUT and just try to win by playing on the ground.

Pathan has replied beautifully to that @sshole Miandad . " Pakistan ke Gulli Gulli mein Pathan" . bakwas karne mein mahir lagta hain Miandad . Pathan ne ekdam barobar se usko chutiya sabit kiya
Pathan is certainly the rising stars of the Indian team and same applies to Balaji . they both are superb bowlers and good lower order batsmen too .
Akhtar thought no end of himself , but instead of Tendulkar Balaji smacked him in this tournament . . It shows that he' not at all a extraordinary bowler . he just has pace , thats it . He and Sami have bowled wides and no balls like anything .
The thing is that we did not have good bowlers before a month . now there is a rain of bowlers and dont know whom to play and whom to not . Looks like Zaheer will have a tough time to retain his place after average performance this series . Nehra now has very slim chance to enter this team unless someone gets injured .
Good to See the stars of Aus Tour , Agarkar and Kumble return from injury .

India 588/4 at tea. Sachin Tendulkar is unbeaten on 165. Yuvraj Singh is the other batsman - he's on 11. I reckon Dravid will want to bat out the last 32 overs and finish on a score of around 700 or thereabouts. There's enough time left in the day to make that score and we could be in for some late fireworks today. Hopefully if things go to plan we'll be sending the Pakis in early tomorrow(some time before lunch at the latest) and looking to force the follow-on.

That is very much possible.Although Pitch is dead and flat doing nothing for bowlers,Pakistan can collapse due to pressure of such big score scored by Indians.Also it would be very hard for them to play Anil Kumble.He bowled brill.He should have got 1 wicket if Sehwag wudnt have dropped that catch.Anyway its all looking bright for India.

Rahul Dravid's decision to declare the Indian innings at 675-5 on Yuvraj Singh's fall has caused a huge controversy, here and probably all over India too. Sachin Tendulkar, of all people, was left six runs short of a well-deserved double hundred. On the face of it, it's a decision that defied logic. Most people watching wondered what difference an over or two would make at that stage. Even players on the Indian team balcony reportedly started yelling "wait, wait" as Dravid raised his hands to call the players back.
"Only Dravid knows what he did," seemed to be the resigned feeling in the Indian camp after the declaration. Tendulkar himself was furious. In his own, understated way, he made it clear to avidly curious media that he had no idea that the declaration was happening just then.
"Yes, I was terribly disappointed, anyone would be when a score like 200 is around the corner," said Tendulkar. He said he "didn't really know" what had happened. "At the tea-break we had decided that we wanted Pakistan to bat for about an hour and we knew we had to play positively but I did not know we would declare just when Yuvraj fell. I thought we had a few overs left when I saw Rahul waving to us to come in."
He said he had not spoken to Dravid about it. "Once a team has declared, there is no point in going back and talking about anything. What's happened has happened."
But Dravid, whatever anyone says, would in one way, be justified for what he did. Logically, he would have wanted Pakistan in for as many overs as possible before stumps. And if that meant stopping the game just then before any more wickets fell -- with the momentum going India's way and despite Tendulkar being on 194 --- so be it.
In its own way, it's a very bold decision, one that would have required tremendous guts. Though Sourav Ganguly was present in the dressing room at the time --- he left soon after --- the buck stops with Dravid. And he would know that.

Thats a terrible decision by Dravid. I know you have to follow a game plan but you also have to reward you players for their effort. 2 over probably wouldn't change the game too much.
Congrats to Sehwag, he entertained us here all summer with his cavaliere batting style and it was only a matter of time before he racked up a massive score like that.

Well I am with Dravid on it.Sachin had enough time to complete his 200.Yuvi even finshed his 50 whereas Sachin only made 10-20 runs.It was sure that Dravid would have told Sachin that you need to complete your double century in specified time and now it was on Sachin to complete it.I see it as a positive sign for Indian Cricket that Indian team is not playing for Individual performances but playing for winning a match.This act gave Pakistanis clear indication that Indians are playing this test match for win.Had there been 1-2 wickets in that last session of batting of Pakistan Dravid would have been proved right.

Pakistan are in deep trouble - they're 110/5 in their second innings after being given the follow on by India. They still need 158 runs to make India bat again.
Irfan Pathan got us off to a brilliant start, grabbing a wicket with the first ball of the day - that of Abdul Razzaq. 3 wickets fell for 7 runs in the first 20 minutes, and Pakistan never really recovered from there. Kumble's been the chief destroyer this innings, taking 3 wickets so far.
