Influence of referees in Spanish Liga

As I’m always discussing with Madrid fans whether the referees helps Madrid or not, I would like to have a thread where every week we can post a discussion about that week’s game, and how many points more or less every team has.

I pretend to do it for Spanish big teams, to decide at the end of the season if the champion deserves the title.

I don’t want to make start a historical discussion again. I just want to talk about the rest of the season.

I think it is fair and no madrid supporter can criticize that.

I’m open to any suggestion from other clubs supporters to make this discussion as civilized and fair as possible

I think Valencia and Depor would have many chances to win the title but with the help Madrid is having from the ref I think they have no chance at all.


Starting this week:

Madrid was clearly helped by the ref who didn’t give, at least, a penalty commited by Helguera. There’s another possible penalty in madrid’s box, and Roberto Carlos should have been booked. Raul’s goal was offside

In Valencia, depor and barça games there are no incidents that could have changed the score.

So right now Madrid, and starting this week, Madrid has 2-3 points more that it should.

I think this week there’s no possible discussion about this.

Barça is 12th in La Liga, thats why they create this thread.

The referee helped R.Madrid clearly, some Madrid newspaper wrote some articles about how bad was the referee.

Always happens this with Real Madrid:

A team playing Madrid is robbed = 400 posts about it
R.Madrid is robbed = no news ! eh referees are human they can do mistakes !

I still remember the end of the last Liga season, Referees ******* R.Madrid and helping clearly R.Sociedad. anyone saw posts of Barcelona fans cause R.Sociedad being helped?

LOL so you are Blind ? goal was 100% legal, maybe for all Europe (except Barcelona). and really Clearly was Legal. Now the legal things are illegal cause Real Madrid is involved ? Buy EyeGlasses, i think you need that.

I am ******* tired of these Barcelona supporters who think their team is getting ****ed when in truth it is their team who sucks and loses to Villarreal 3-0

You might as well change the title to "I hate Real Madrid" because that is all you want to say basically

I remember the TV program "El dia despues" did that some seasons ago. Real Madrid lost points cause the referees and Barcelona won it ! :P

This season Real Madrid is getting "helped" by the referees but im sure in the next matches referees will f*ck us, i have that feeling.

What's the point of this thread? By the laws of that which is unknown, the refferees on the Iberian Peninsula will always make some bad call in league action.

I dunno but Im tired of all these ****ty newspapers like Marca,AS,El Pais...that just talk about Real Madrid, you know it gets boring seeing Ronaldo,Raul and company on the front page everyday... also TVE,Antena3 just talk and favour Real Madrid in everything....or if not its Atletico de Madrid..what about Getafe and Leganes and Rayo arent they from Madrid also?!

And I dont know but the referees in La Liga are reallllyyy **** specially this season

Barcelona supporters are sore losers.. their team is playing like crap and they always point the finger at the refs helping Madrid, like Valencia and Deportivo do when things dont go their way.... what this teams dont notice is that Barca also gets a lot of calls their way, and so do Deportivo and Valencia.. big teams always get questinable calls their way, specially at home...

yeah i see that but i thought he was in an offside position when Ronaldo headed the ball back towards the net though....i didnt think it mattered where the defender was when raul struck the ball but rather when Ronaldo played the ball.....but it was very close

I don’t know why Madrid supporters are so upset.

All I want is to have a thread where every week we can control the mistakes done by the ref with ALL the teams who are supposed to be able to win la Liga, not only with Madrid!!! Ok? NOT ONLY WITH MADRID!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take it as a challenge. If you are so sure that there’s no problem then accept this.

I don’t know what may happen until June. Maybe at the end Madrid should have 5 points more, or maybe not. Maybe at the end valencia has one point more than Madrid thanks to some ref mistake.

It’s a chance to you to make all barça supporters in this board shut our mouth at the end of season if Madrid deserves it’s title above Valencia and Depor. Take it like this and accept the challenge if you are so sure that you are not helped.

I started this thread this week, and according to this I think Madrid has 2 points more than it should. Next week it can change



Forget Barça,WE ARE WHERE WE ARE FOR OUR OWN MISTAKES. Barça is not competinig to win the league, so I’m not doing this for Barça. OK?

Exact, that's what i'm proposing. If you have this feeling and it's true then you'll be able to reflect it in this table where we can acumulate the mistakes and helps to ALL IMPORTANT TEAMS.

I think there's no reason to react as you (in general) have answered, as it will also be a chance to you to prove that you are not getting help.

The Murcia player you pointed out is outside the field ,therefore cannot be considered in play.
But Raul wasn't in off-side because of the furthest player on the opposite side ,the one's who's facing Raul's back.He's in the same line as Raul.So ,there's no offside.


I dunno why the thread was made.RMD are helped.No one can deny.But Barca has a lot of problems as it is and I don't want to discuss some more about the Madrid scum.I've got Barca to worry about so I couldn't give a sh*t about Madrid.

Refs make mistakes every game, is a fact of the sport and nothing can be done about... refs dont get the benefit of replays in slow motion with zoom and from 30 different angles... all teams get pts and get taken pts because of referees..

If you prefer, let's just do it with Madrid, valencia and deportivo... and let's see if refs make the same number of mistakes for all of them.

Maybe it wil be like this, so madrid supporters will be able to tell barça supporters, or any other team, to shut our f*cking mouth. Or maybe not? let's follow how ref do every week with just this 3 teams(which are the only ones who can win the title) if you prefer and forget about Barça.

We always argue about history, and that's something that we can not review and check easily. let's argue about every week facts.

I think it's fair for all teams. Any supporter who is sure that ref don't help his team shouldn't have any problem doing this.
