Injury Plagued

I'm 13 years old and used to play for a local club. We were one of the best in the city until our coach left, and with her most of our good players. I was one of three who stayed with the new coach.

Last February we had our first game, in the morning. It was cold, and we didn't stretch out. We were doing a warmup excercise that involved passing, going to next station, passing, next station, then shooting.

When it was my turn to pass, I received the ball at an awkward angle but tried to hit it anyway. I felt my leg pop out of it's socket and heard a pop. Next thing I know I was limping off to the sidelines. One of the parents was a nurse, and she suspected I'd pulled a ligament.

I went home and it turned out I was out for the rest of the season. I spent that time stretching and working out, trying to get back in shape, but every time I tried to play, I would pull it.

Now, one year later, I still can't play due to pains whenever I kick or sprint.
Is this the end of my short-lived soccer career?

Nobody said anything about surgery. Doctors usually tell you how to heal things up properly you know. And if surgery is the only way to fix it, then fine, don't fix it.

Yeh, and wave goodbeye to your fun playing soccer(and perhaps it will affect any sport playing you do if your leg is in such bad shape)

c'mon boy... Are you afraid of doctors or what? C'mon dont be a kid... And you should not be afraid of surgery if its the only way out.

In fact I've been operated before (scrotum operation coz my one of my testicles twisted and had to get them fixed... :$ - Jokes aside). Everything gets OK after the operation. In fact you are relieved and feel no pain afterwards :) . Dont be afraid son. The only thing to do is to tell your parents and take an appointment with a doctor.

I dont see why your parents would not want you to see a doctor or maybe you're saying this coz you're afraid to see a doctor  . Anyway you have to convince your parents coz I see that the only way to play football again is to see a doctor. We dont have any specialists here to help you I'm sorry. We cant do anything more for you. If you dont want to see a doctor then go and play chess (C)

You should rethink that, i tore my ACL on my right knee a month ago and of course after having seen a specialist over it i had surgery on it about a week ago. Its not so bad man, im just working on physical therapy and i should be back after 6 months:). IMO you should go to the doctor ( they will most likely send you to a specialist that deals with ligaments and all ) and do whatever he suggest including surgery otherwise you wont play like you used to every again.
