Guys, what was with Adriano a few times during the game? He just didnt run towards the ball, and a few times i saw him just walking easily around the field, while inter was attacking or trying to retrieve the ball. It might be just me, but he seemed a bit out of it at moments.

i agree.adriano is too tired,now is going to play with the selecao,so against udinese i think he should go to the bench(sorry if my english is not correct!).

Inter ponder Mascherano bid Saturday 9 October, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inter’s Argentine contingent could be increased after the club were linked with Javier Alejandro Mascherano.

The central midfielder is highly rated in South America and impressed scouts as his country won gold at the Olympics Games in Athens.

The Nerazzurri are said to be considering a January bid even if they face stiff opposition for the River Plate ace.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Milan and Juventus have also been associated with the 19-year-old.

However, reports suggest that Inter are ready to make a substantial offer in January in order to net the international.

If Mascherano arrives then the San Siro giants would probably sell Cristiano Zanetti – who was associated with a move to Juve in the summer.

Meanwhile, former Inter stopper Gianluca Festa could soon be back in Serie A with Livorno.

The 35-year-old is currently on trial with the outfit after Cagliari released him in the summer.

Festa, who has played in England with Middlesbrough and Portsmouth, was recently eyed by Celtic too.

==================================

Mascherano really impressed me during the Olympics and I have also been checking him out during River's games on FSWE. The midfield maybe packed but I still think that we should go after him. We could loan him out for the rest of this season and selling CZ during the summer to the highest bidder.

He would be a fantastic investment for the future.

I'd love to see that guy come to Inter. I don't think we need Cristiano Zanetti anyway, get rid of the guy I say.

What happened to K. Gonzales? Is he injured?

Other transfer rumors include us being interested in Kompany and he could be bought either during January or in the summer. The side is also interested in Vincente and an offer could be mounted including Farinos and Kily. Frey is also being scouted to replace Toldo. The side is also monitering Cassano and Van der Vaart.

I think Kily is still injured. I haven't heard anything about him or even seen him in any of the training pics lately.

Inter have too many players, too many targets and too much money.

Who says that the side is really interested in all those players? Don't tell me Barca hasn't been linked to tons of players themselves. The side has also drastically reduced on on spending. Sure the side has a good amount of players (31 which includes players that don't have squad numbers...) but thats a good sum especially for a side that has been having injury problems.

So b4 you start making pointless statements learn the facts ;)

On an Italian chat show, Che tempo che fa, hosted by Fabio Fazio, Moratti was the guest.

Moratti underlined that there is no problem with Vieri. "The boy just has to get through this psychological block. He's training very hard and he just needs to score. But I'm very optimistic." On 'Che tempo che fa Fazio works with Francesco Totti's girlfriend Ilary. Would Moratti get Francesco? "Let's say that if he played with us I would be happy," was the reply.

Inter target Chelsea stoppers Monday 11 October, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inter are looking at two Chelsea defenders after being priced out of the chase to sign Vincent Kompany.

Anderlecht want £14m for the youngster which may see the Nerazzurri look elsewhere for a new stopper.

The San Siro giants are struggling in defence this term and are expected to bring in a new recruit during the January transfer window.

They released Fabio Cannavaro to Juventus in September and young Argentine Nicolas Burdisso is taking his time to settle.

Reports in Italy suggest that Inter have asked Chelsea about the availability of England international John Terry.

However, the Stamford Bridge outfit are not willing to release him but could wave goodbye to Robert Huth instead.

The young German is struggling for first team football with the Premiership side and Inter could be his next destination.

The 20-year-old is highly-rated and the Italian side are hoping to take advantage of their good relationship with Chelsea after the summer’s Juan Veron deal.

Huth could arrive on loan in January, with Inter having the option to sign him outright in June 2005.

=========================================

Kompany is still my number 1 pick and I'd really wouldn't mind the club dishing out big bucks to get him. He's a great defender and he is still only 18.

Though other than him I guess Huth wouldn't be a bad option. He's like a tall Materazzi, but he's faster. Getting him on loan in January would be a smart way to test him out in the Serie A and if he does then he could be bought in the summer.

On Terry I seriously see no way. According to Yahoo Italia Mourinho would agree for this deal if Javier Zanetti came the other way. Yeah right....

Frey open to Inter return Sunday 10 October, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sebastien Frey has commented on reports he is set to make a shock comeback to the San Siro.

“Who wouldn’t like to play for such an important team as Inter? I have already had the good fortune to experience it, but that was in the past and we are discussing the future,” he hinted.

The goalkeeper started his Serie A career with the Nerazzurri when he arrived from Cannes in 1998, playing seven League games. He was then loaned out to Verona, returned for another year before being sold off to Parma.

The reports of a comeback emerged after Francesco Toldo’s less than impressive performances in goal so far this season, in which the club has already conceded ten goals in five Serie A games.

“I am happy at Parma,” insisted Frey, “but we’ll see what happens in the future. Right now I just want to concentrate on the Gialloblu and earning our first win of the season against Brescia.”

Frey was in the stands to watch his younger brother Nicolas make his debut for Serie C2 outfit Legnano. “He has the talent to make it in Italy,” assured his proud sibling.

=========================================

Frey, Frey, Frey. He would be a great replacement for Toldo. This guy use to be at the club but he got into a mixup with the coach at the time, and some other stuff which I can't really remember. But even so he'd be open to return and I think getting him as soon as the coming summer would be fantastic.

Then Toldo could be sold off, and Fontana's contract wouldn't be renewed leaving us with Frey as the number 1 with Carini also fighting for the position. In other words we'd be set in the GK spot for years :rockman:

Whatever happened to Francesco Coco? I remember him from WC 2002 but haven't seen him since. It's like he dissappeared off the face of the Earth. I'm not saying I'm a fan of his or anything but I'm just curious as to what happened to him.

Coco is still in Inter, but as far as I know, he hasn't had a single appearance this season. Rumours were linking him heavily with a switch deal with Lazio including Cesar, but nothing materialized. Haven't heard anything else about him lately.
