interesting problem with WC 2006

So ive been playing for awhile, and have added all sorts of new kits and what not to the game, but I strive for realism, and The colors on Italy's jersey numbers will not do. I've seen threads on how to do it, but there in lies in my problem. I am running Windows XP x64 edition, and with its .net issues i cannot run a few of the programs needed to mess with numbers and fonts and such.

So I am here to ask if there is ANY other way to change them? is there a file that can be uploaded that i can replace in my install directory in order to change the numbers??

any help would be appreciated
