IP number in Windows XP

Hi, can someone who have windows xp tell me what do I need to do to see my ip number. I have ME but my friend have XP and I need to tell him how to do that so he can host when we playing.

yeah but if u want ur LAN IP, not ur net IP, just go to Start-Accesories-Command
and type "Ipconfig"
Xp is based on NT architecture, so rather than having winipcfg which 9x based windows had, they have this dos based ipconfig

Starting XI
1. Go via the "START" button to the "RUN" window.
2. Type "COMMAND" in the "RUN" window.
3. Then when the DOS window has opened, type cd\, so that you go back to the root.
4. Then type "ipconfig /all"

Everything you want you can check there. Good luck.

for the net ip. when ur conected. just click on the little computers icon in the taskbar, then click details, and hey presto, client ( u ) and server IP's.:mrpimp:

What ip address do you need ?
If you need your computer ip do the following instructions
For Windows xp
1.start->Run
2.cmd
3.Type ipconfig
4.press enter
If you need your internet ip address ,connect your computer to the internet and visit the site ip-details.com Here you can get location of your ip, longitude.latitude also.
