Comes out tonight in the States. I was about to watch a bootlegged version but I couldn't stand it and I've read that so far the reviews look very good. I'll check it out Saturday night.

it was a very good movie. a little cheesy with some lines (terrence howard saying "next time") at the end... sequel anybody? but still good. if you manage to get past the "america is the greatest country in the world" thing they throw at you, the movie itself is actually very good, with phenomenal acting by downey. paltrow freaking sucks though. i hate that uptight bitch. you can see she doesn't do anal.

Favreau is a good director, nothing amazing or different though. Some of the writing was hit or miss too, but the film overall was fantastically entertaining.

Terrence Howard sounds funny.

The "final battle" scene was weird especially when they made the bad guy sound so lame when he was in his suit.

Paltrow was hot, she was pretty good in the movie compared to some of her recent crap.

I think Yoss is exaggerating a little bit but all you other guys are crazy, it's a fantastic movie, and it couldn't be a better way to start the summer.

best performance in a superhero movie for sure goes to Downey Jr, and this is the 4th best superhero movie ever IMO after Spidey 2, X-Men 2 and Spidey 1. and the second best origins story after Spidey 1. Way better, and fun and funny than Batman Beggins.

cant wait for a second and third movie, especially for Terrence Howard's War Machine to show up. and did you guys stay after the credits to see Sam Carlos*son's Nick Fury? The Avengers movie in 2011 will rule it all now that a Justice League movie isnt happening (it would probably be better than that anyway) (Y)(Y)

I didn't stay after for the credits but i saw the clip of Samuel L. Carlos*son as Nick Fury and it was badass.

I also heard that "Tony Stark" is going to make a cameo in the upcoming Hulk film.

BBC Movies SURPRISINGLY gave this a very good review, and normally the Beeb are the bastion of bad reviews towards superhero films, so that means it can't be all that bad i would think.

Having said that, the trailers look truly diabolical, so it looks unlikely that i'll see it in the cinema anytime soon.

Does anybody pay the rediculous prices for sweets at the cinema? I just wear a Carlos*et with big pockets and take a couple of bags of American Hard Gums or Wine Gums from Tesco or the Co-Op with me.

yeh there's a Target (retailer here in the US) right next to one of the movie theater's here so i just stock up on 99 cent gummies in my coat or pant pocket and i'm good.

watched this last night.. honestly much better than I thought it would be. obviously very corny here and there, but you've come to expect that with superhero movies. visuals were amazing though, I was dazzled by all the technology
