true, Vieira should return to Serie A..

players who excel in Serie A, are IMHO the best players in the world..

what about ronaldo? did next to nothing at inter and he's arguably the best striker in the world... and what about rivaldo?

imho the la liga in terms of footballing quality comes out on top.

yea but as for rivaldo, give him another year to regain form or whatever he needs. hopefully he'll get adjusted to the league and show his class.

it's a toss up to me between serie a and la liga personally.

Ronaldo did nothing??

He got 25 goals in his FIRST season..

Sheva was also another player who was able to do this..

Rivaldo, yeah..

Give him one more year..

And I wasnt saying all the stars are in Italy, Im saying that not all players who can play in Serie A, so if you are a quality footballer.. You would succeed in Italy..

exmple, Mendieta..

Henry was an exception as he was played out of position..

Just co you dont make it in Italy doesnt mean you arent a world class player. Imo Italian football is overrated.

a World Class player should succeed in any leagues he plays in..

Im boasting Serie A because everyone who comes from Serie A would perform great but someone who enters Serie A would eventually struggle..

I think some players suit leagues better than others but id doesnt mean they wont play well in the league its just they might have to adjust the way they play a bit

Mendieta never really wanted to play in Italy.

As for "World class players", yes they should be able to perform in ANY LEAGUE. That's why their world class. Michael Owen would no longer have to face imbelicles like *insert bad English defender* for say Cannavaro, Nesta, Maldini, etc etc etc etc etc. Serie A defenders boast some of the greatest defenders of ALL TIME. Even though I love La Liga, I have to admit we are a step below in terms of toughness, although our football is better to watch than Serie A. Some of the players in Spain, have been rejected by a previous Italian club. How one earth is Italian football over-rated? Is it because Bergkamp, Silvestre, Henry, and Viera didn't succeed(Dare I say "failed")? Or is it because they owned Europe for a good part of a decade? Is it because they attract world legends like Diego Maradona, Ronaldo and the like? It's funny how so many failures, such as the previously named EPL 'stars', Ayala, Roberto Carlos etc, can be so bad in an "over rated" league, than succeed in another... Last I checked, there were 3 Spanish teams, 3 Italian teams, and some other teams making up the numbers.

Pirlo is good, but not the best.... IMO Emerson is better but Davids is fantastic in attack and defending... IMO Pirlo just doesn't cut it in defending to be named the best DM.....

Viera is the best dm. He tackles so well and he is hard to get past, teams who lack width usually have trouble against arsenal when viera is in the middle.

Viera is also a great dribbler, you will know if you watch his games. This is one of the things people forget about his game, he breaks attacks , but when under pressure he often rides tackles, and can dribble past three players at a time and drive through and release pires and henry to cause havoc.

I hope viera proves this in the uefa champions league next season
