However, in another game, vieri went on the transfer list at his own request in 2003 (wanted a better contract). He was worth £8 million, I made a cheeky offer of £5 million, and had it accepted! However, to my eternal regret, I cancelled the transfer because I coudn't afford his wage demands, and because I already had van Nistelrooy, Saviola and Robben ahead of him!
