truthfully
Truthfully, I enjoy ISS Pro Evolution (made in 2000 AD) much better than FIFA 2002. I've been playing FIFA for so long that I had no idea how unbelievably fastpaced it was (kind of like pinball or something) - plus, if you're still using a PS1 like me, the graphics and resolution of FIFA 2002 are so choppy - furthermore, the computer doesn't play intelligent soccer.
However, one major department that FIFA 2002 simply EXCELS in is the response time - in ISS you find yourself hitting a button several times before it actually responds - in FIFA, you need only hit it once (or hold it, whatever), and you're guaranteed that the ball will be passed.
Anyways, if you've played FIFA 97, you won't find the passing system "revolutionary" at all - it's the same passing system that was taken out of the game after FIFA 97. So, unless you're turning on expert passing & shooting, you should be perfectly happy with previous FIFA titles and blowing the comp out 17-0 on World Class mode (pass from defender, pass from midfielder, dribble, dribble, juke, dribble score! repeat) (and prior to 2002 and after 98, the header from the cross was the easiest goal to perform - so, that's formulae #2)
And why are the players so darn small on the tele camera? Even if you zoom all the way, the players are so miniscule. Honestly, FIFA 2002 isn't bad, but I already have ISS & all FIFA titles as far back as FIFA 97 and I'm not ever touching FIFA 2002 again so long as I have ISS (which I found Used a few days ago) =)
Oh, so if you want FIFA soccer, get FIFA 2002 - but if you can find an ISS title, I'm sure you'll find them closer to soccer reality than EA delivers.
