Is Freddy Adu really 14 yrs of Age

Age has everything to do with the mentality that the current non-MLS-overnight-MLS fans have towards him. They can't believe a 14yr old kid can archive what he has archived. Beware! your own teenage kids might be cheated in the rat race if he is really not 14 yrs old. All the hard work of all those soccer moms taking their young kids to the field every freaking weekend.
He doesn't seem to be 14. Hell, he looks older than me.

That is almost naturally impossible. His face looks like he is 16-18, but his hands and especially legs make him look like he is 20.
The very first moment i saw a picture of him, i asked my self how is this kid younger than me? As much as i would like him to really be 14, because then that wouldn't ruin the record youngest age to play in a professional match, but his legs really tell the whole story. Those muscles can't be built that fast, and i do not believe that he started working out from the age of 8-9. So it's either he is using steroids to become bigger and stronger or he is 4-5 years older than he claims to be. I believe it is the later one. And there is 2 ways to prove it, either he admits it himself or he retires near 29-30 years of age.
But i still might be wrong.

No one can prove that Freddy is older than 14. Sports Illustrated did an investigation, and according to them he is 14. Something that makes me think Freddy is 14 is his accent. He sounds just like any other 14 year old kid in the USA. If Freddy was older, I think he would have a foreign accent.

I believe that Fredy Adu is not 14 years old. He is probably 17 or 18 years old. The U.S is lying about his age to make profit (endorsements, merchandise) and for him to be able to have a longer career in U.S national soccer teams. It is a proven fact that some African Countries lie about a players age in order for a player to be legible to play. I am sure this is what Fredy Adu has done in order to speed up the process of him becoming a U.S. citizen. It is much faster to become a U.S. citizen if you are under 18 years old. So they lied so the process would be quick and allow him to play for U.S.
