Is the speed of DVD drive an issue for gaming performance?

I have been using 16X DVD ROM for playing PES series and now the market norm is using 48X. Do anybody know whether the speed of DVD drive will greatly affect the performance of the game? Also, seems no method of copying the whole game into harddrive for playing instead of DVD because of the license check ? Or only during license check the game will access the DVD ? Thanks

The game doesn't run off the DVD. It just checks if it's in the drive. All the files you need to play the game are on your hard drive.

you got mixed up here
16x is typical for dvd
48x that you see is in regards to speed of normal CDs inside dvd burner

how does antiblaxx work? Do you have to copy the DVD onto another one, or can you use the hard drive? If it's the latter, I'll definately use it because I like that idea much more than using a cracked exe, because when someone releases a patch which uses a patched exe, it'll save me having to search around for hours to find a patched and cracked exe! (C) :lui:

Well about cracked exe, save original somewhere on your harddisk. Then is your problem solved right? Antiblaxx you have to use it with Daemontools and if you install it, it will guide you how to apply it. Very easy to use but for me too long to explain :rolleyes:

I could save the original somewhere on my hard drive, but then when a patch comes out, I'd have to start using the disk again. :boohoo:

I'll look into Daemontools, as I don't know what that is. (C)

because of the stuttering im using a no-cd crack, Does anyone know if this will cause problems when wanting to play online. I could try it, i know, but getting into a lobby is harder then it seems.... :nape:
