Is there any difference between R1 + shoot and R2 + shoot ?

in freekicks yeah, but imo there's no difference compared to normal shooting whatsoever even if you hold R1 or R2 before shooting.

or is there?

L1 (Q) + Square button (A) = Lobs keeper (Best used outside the box and when keeper is little out of the goal)

Square button (A) then quickly press R1 (E) = Chip shot (best used very close to keeper)

hm...
i think that there is different between:
- R1 + shoot - more power and streight shot
- only shoot - more soft and technic shot

About R2 + shoot i can say nothing

p.p.
it's all my theory ;)

ah, you mean choosing the tracectory of the ball.

I think it's something like this:

Up Arrow + Shoot = Hard shot

R1 + Shoot = Harder Shot

Up Arrow + R1 + Shoot = Very Hard shot

Down Arrow + Shoot = Soft shot

R2 + Shoot = Softer Shot

Down Arrow + R2 + Shoot = Very soft shot
