It sure is the best, it's very good to play and more realistic than all the others that are around the scene, well worth digging into your pocket for the purchase....now lets all wait and see how Euro 2000 turns out.. .but ..but...3dfx suport...??..no more registry problems...??
doubt it.......
I don't know if it is available in the US or Canada yet, i don't even know if it is available in Aussiland yet, i managed to get it sent in from Overseas...and it was well worth the effort..............

I agree with ZZUB and Hunter. ISS Evolution is the best soccer sim game I've ever played. Whilst the graphics are not as pretty as the FIFA series, the gameplay is just superb! Very realistic speed which gives you enough time to plan an offensive move.

It's available now in Australia.

For those who doesn't know, it's a PlayStation game but I managed to get it to work on a PC using PSEmu Pro, a free PlayStation emulator.

BTW, because it's not a licensed product, the player's names have been altered slightly but the commentary of the names are correct.

To Chau Le:

I'M REALLY INTERESTED IN PLAYING ISS ON A PC!!!! Please, can you tell me where to get PsEmu Pro and how to get ISS to work with it? Any information would be appreciated. I was even considering buying a PSX just for this game! What kind of PC does one need to play PSX games without problems?

Thanks in advance

You can download PSEmu Pro from http://www.zophar.net/psx.html

It's quite confusing at first to set up but it really worth it. Keep in mind that it doesn't play a lot of PSX games.

My PC is NOT a high end one but the performance is quite acceptable. I can play ISS Evolution at 1024x768 resolution which beats the 320x200 resolution offered by the PlayStation.

Have a go, I'll try to give some assistance as far as the setup is concern if you need it.

Forgot to mention that you will also need the PSX BIOS for PSEmu to run. Because of legal reasons I can't tell you exactly where to find it but if you look around the site mentioned above (in the Links page) you can get hold of copy of the BIOS required.

drmancini,
PSEmu Pro was developed in 97-98 when a 166Mz was quite a good setup. The Voodoo 2 card would really help. You'd be able to play games at 800x600 resolution. I suggest you to grab Lewpy's Glide plugin which is the best PSEmu Graphics plugin for 3dfx cards.

Thank you, Chau Le

I'll start my research on PsEmu Pro inmediately. By the way, would it be possible to contact you privately on this issue, just in case we needed some help? If not, could you please point out any tips we should consider before trying to get ISS to run? Also, what kind of PC do you need to run PSEmu Pro? (I own a P166MMX 64MB Voodoo2, i don't feel it will be enough
)

Feel free to contact me privately at [email protected]

Chau, or any of the Aussies on this forum, what TV system do you use there? PAL or NTSC? I am thinking of importing ISS Evolution since MLS2000 won't be out until may - I can't get the European version because it's PAL - what system do you guys run?
Thanks

Georg, mine is a P2-300 with 96MB and a 16MB TNT2 video card. Your system should run PSEmu Pro just fine.

Neutral, I think there is a patch that converts PAL version of ISS Evolution to NTSC.

Chau,
I was thinking of importing it and playing it on my psx - but I forgot completely about the emulator - since PCs are all the same shouldn't bleem or psemu pro allow me to play ISS Evolution regardless?

Neutral, I haven't tried it on bleem but can't see any reason why it won't run as ISS Pro 98 plays beautifully (at times too fast).

PSEmu Pro can certainly run this game. The reason I use PSEmu Pro is because I can run it under Windows 2000. Not so bleem!

To Chau Le:

This weekend I tried to run Winning Eleven 4 (japanese version of ISS Pro Evolution - NTSC) on PSEmuPro, but all I got were the two first logos and then nothing happened.

In fact I didn't get any game to run (I tried Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid). Both of them seemed to freeze when the first logos appeared. Could it be something about movies?

Could you please tell us which plugins are you using?. I've tried to make it run on these two machines:

P166MMX
64MB RAM
Creative Labs Voodoo2 8MB
Pioneer 32x IDE CD-ROM

PIII 500
128MB RAM
3dfx Voodoo3 3000
DVD-ROM

I'll try to grab a copy of ISS Pro Evolution (European PAL version) and give it a try.

If someone can run ISS Pro Evo/Winning Eleven 4 on any PlayStation emulator, could you tell us which/how you do it?

Thank you all

DrMancini
