How many of ya' ll would' ve said that ( at the beginning of this tournament), Germany versus Brazil is a deram final? After having read all the websites' opinions and blah blah, they seem to feel that this is a dream final....u liars! Dream final: A final contested between 2 teams that comming into the tournament were the awesome and given the setup of the tournament, would reach the final of the tournament! I dunno about ya' ll but in my opinion, a dream final would' ve been France/Argentina versus Italy! Let' s pick two randomn teams and see if they matched up to the definition of a DREAM FINAL...I dunno let me think now, right of the top of my head...ahm...lets select Brazil and Germany!

On course for the final: yes, but then again so were a whole host of others

Comming in they were not awesome: OH NO this is bad...the posibility of a dream final is fading......faded!

If you said at the start of the finals, that a dream would be between a certain pair of teams, those 2 would most certainly not be GERMANY or BRAZIL !

It'll be a great final, and one that will be a classic. Germany and Brazil have been the biggest teams in world cups, both with the highest number of finals (7 each counting this one) and the most WCs (Brazil 4, Germany 3), not to mention both teams have been doing really well (Brazil's the best attacking team, Germany the Best team on defence)... I woul've kinda prefered a final to the effect of England vs. Spain or Argentina vs. Spain and seen Spain win their first Cup but, oh well.

I didn't expect that Germany & Brazil made it to the Finals.

Germany---- After losing the friendly match against Wales last May, it makes me think this team don't have a good prospect in the WC. And, hey, Germany made it.

Brazil--------The coach Scholari has been an enormous 'public enemy' by Brazilian people when he tookover the job & recent results in the South American Pre WC Qualifying. But, again Brazil manage to eliminate obstacles in the WC.

Well, congrats to Germany & Brazil.

Look at it this way:

What is a dream final??

Two good teams playing each other? I take it that's what you are thinking. In Fact, that's what we all think!!
But, the difference, you go by what you hear, not by what you see! FRANCE ARGENTINA and ITALY certainly did not impress me at this World Cup. The only thing that impressed me was the Media and how they were raving on about how good these 3 teams are! They are not that good, that's why they didn't go all the way! 2 of these teams left after only 3 games! Another, after only 4!

How can you call a FRANCE/ARGENTINA/ITALY final a DREAM FINAL?? You certainly could before the WC started, but now?? I mean come-on! None of these teams are that Fantastic, they all left early, leaving 16-8 teams BETTER than them (according to the way that the WC is run)

FRANCE/ARGENTINA/ITALY It would be like a MID-LADDER clash between Blackburn and Southampton! :D
(Actually it would be better than that, but you get my point)

They might have been good in their qualifying games, but so what, its the WC that counts most! If you dominate qualifying and do absolutely Carlos in the WC, what are you remembered for???

It might not have been the DREAM final when the World Cup started, and for some it might not even be the dream final now, But what would be? Most of the good teams were eliminated early, by "LOWER" class teams. You have to accept that the rest of the World is GETTING BETTER and CATCHING UP with the Europeans and the South Americans! What might have been your dream final before the World Cup would have to have changed in one way, especially with the upsets that this WC has provided!

Think about it....... :D

I think the final will be similar to the one in 1994 , Brazil-Italy 0-0

Well, Scotland v San Marino is only my dream.

It will never be reality because it is certain that one of these teams will never qualify for the World Cup finals. And San Marino probably won't qualify either.

What I meant was at the beginning of the World Cup an Italy v/s Argentina/France final would be a dream final, but now the way things have turned out it just so happens that the two top countries as far as World Cup history goes are in the BIG GAME! IT sounds like a dream but at the start of the tourney, it most certainly was not! Anyone who said they predicted this at the beginning are lying!

As far as that Togo, Scotland , San Marino stuff goes, no comment cause WELL, no comment...it is just too damn easy to say...well no comment!
