Although I really hate these friendlies between the hot weeks in league and CL, this could be a good game. This is Germany's last away game before the World Cup. The last two against Holland and France ended in draws.

I would have liked to see Cassano in the squad but Lippi blamed it on his lack of playing time for Real.

This is the formation Lippi should use at the World Cup as well. Except, I'd prefer Del Piero and Toni up front with Cassano completing the trident.

Should definitely be a good game as long as the Fiorentina fans behave themselves.

The game will be held in Florence well the NT hasn't played a game in more than 10 years (last time was vs. Mexico, whom the fiorentines ended up chearing for). Today most Fiorentina fans won't be at the stadium as they don't feel identified with the NT and feel hatred against the Italian Football Federation. Lippi tried to play smart by calling up Fiorentina defender Manuel Pasqual but most ppl in Florence took it as an insult, cause we all know how many Palermo players Lippi called when they played in Palermo.

The stadium will be full of ppl from little towns around Tuscany.

And I can't beleive how Lippi can take Vieri and not Lucarelli.

I suppose its always an idea too sort of set him apart from the crowd. I always prefer the number 12 instead of 1 when I'm in goal

we still have Del Piero and Pirlo, who always performs best in Totti's absence. Too bad Cassano isnt there as well.

Supposedly Zaccardo is starting at RB, Lippi makes some odd choices.
