Nice dive - even better than Baros'. Baros went down like a ninny when there was contact, Franny showed him how it's done by going down a second AFTER Riise touched him - the old invisible ghost push thingy, maybe Jeff Winter thought Riise was using his Jedi powers to 'force-push' Jeffers down. Anyway, hopefully Baros & Diouf can add that one to their repertoire.

1-1 probably a fair result and hopefully Liverpool can play the way they did in the second half of this match in most of their games.

The reason I think the ref gave the penalty to Arsenal is becoz he was behind the play.

And from the camera angles behind the play, it looks as if Riise has cut his leg across Jeffers' legs, and I think that was what made the ref made the call he did.

Though the linesman would have had a much better view of the actual incident.

well i listened to the 2nd half on the radio on the way back from watching hibs v aberdeen and from what i heard Arsenal are cheatin bastards....Sol Campbell as the last man when he made his challenge but didnt get sent off, then riise got booked but didnt even touch that dirty everton cheating bastard ugly **** jeffers

Are you blaming Sol Campbell for cheating because he wasn't sent off? Do you think Campbell should have asked the ref to show him the red card, or what...?

What I'm saying is, that you can't blame Arsenal in this case -- blame the referee!

Karlsson, you can't blame him, after all, I believe Gerrard did ask for at least a yellow card for his two-footed challenge, but the referee turned him down.

On another note, it's time for Silva to get a rest. The guy has played almost every minute of every game. Wenger needs to give this guy a break. He is Arsenal's player of the year with Henry thus far but how much longer can he play without breaking down.

Also, it's not funny that Owen keeps getting "hamstrung", so to speak. Maybe L'Pools trainers need to get a red card.

Rest? yes,but player of the year? FOR WHAT!!, im not trying to knock the player but he looks afraid of getting the ball and gives it back to players that passed to him in difficult positions,have you seen him make a tackle before or take more than a touch? why not wiltord he had a great start and faded to nothing as well
Hope jeffers makes a start against chelsea cos how long can we dominte at home yet still get ****ty results like this,we were lucky today, baros didnt dive sol has been doing that all season,how many pens has he given away or almost given away(fulham 4 one),and keown and seaman having their own comic relief at the back? i dont want to go on cos i never do things like this but i really pissed off by this result,chelsea must be licking their lips for wednsday

you reckon we are looking forward to it? well i ain't, i'm sh!ttin myself we have never one against Arsenal in the Premiership at Highbury, i'm terrified however many players you have missing or however bad you are playing, i never have any confidence about this one

i must admit with neutral that jeffer will win the dive of the season award... the contact was minimal to none... and he successfully conned the referee... great dive jeffer...

but having said that.. a draw is a fair result for both team, liverpool had their chances, diouf should have scored from 3 yards, what a wonderful header...

and to andrew.. it is not about sore loser or looking for excuses for liverpool's poor form, but it is the truth... the contact was very minor jeffer just looking for the penalty period... and i'm not a sore loser and i think houllier as well as it is just the truth that jeffers dived. we just play our worst football for the last couples of weeks, and plus some misfortune in front of goal + some ref decision, and lost of form to mostly all the players... confident level is just rock bottom.. just hope that they will get back on form soon...

Probably a fair result. I was hoping for a Liverpool win for obvious reasons . Jeffers was great with that dive, a bit dumb of Riise to grab him at the edge. Anyway boring first half if you ask me. But what was Houllier thinking when he took off Baros and replaced him with Biscan. I didn't get it. He didn't want to win it seemed. I understand he'd like to have a result at Highbury, but just one point isn't helping Liverpool's cause either right?

robbed is too strong of a word... but i'm glad that we got a point out of this match... and yes jeffer did dive... no question.. glad to know that a neutral said it and not from arsenal or liverpool supporters.. thanks shearerm4...

yes.. it is a boring first half.. and i do agreed with you that i don't understand why houllier replaced baros... my only explanation will be that he is happy with one point... but jeffers is just great isn't he... i give him a 10 out of 10 for that dive...
