Quick question. If you are linked to another job in the media, how do you respond? Usually there are two types; you are either the favorite to take the job, or you are in the mix. However, I can never respond to the rumors. Do you have to actually be offered the position in order to reject it, or is there some button I'm missing when they approach me in the media.

I don't respond to any media stuff.

I hate having some of my players not like the response and it almost always happens. Not worth it.

But for job stuff if you want to please the board tell them you don't want the job... and if you want the job don't do it through the media, just apply for jobs on the job screen (check job securities).

what you can do is "declare interest in job", which is available as an option if the club's manager security isn't good. That can be done from the team/players menu.
Sometimes you are approached by the media and you are given 2 or 3 options. The news msg you are tokin about tho doesnt have any "hidden" options

thats what i'm asking... there is NO option to respond. the media links me to 10-15 jobs a year, and there is NO option to respond. can you guys post a screenie or at least explain how to get to the respond section? i'm not a noobie to this, so either my game is screwed up or something is wrong, because i don't have those 2 or 3 options to respond like you say alex

well no sooner did i say that and my question was answered. just got linked to a job to borussia with an option to respond. shortly thereafter was offered jobs by borussia and fulham. apologize for the idiotic question guys, just was sick of being linked for a good 5 years now with no way to retaliate haha

you don't because in these msgs you are directly approached by the media. The msgs you refer to aren't meant to have that. Consider it just.. generic newspaper type speculation.

^ yeah the ones you can't respond to are generic newspaper stuff...just ignore them, it doesn't really mean that a club will actually offer you the job.

no no i figured as much, it's just that at this point i was getting about 3-4 per week (seriously) and i just thought that maybe there is an option for me to reject and stop this onslaught of mail. i figured maybe my game had a bug that would not allow me to respond but i guess i'll chalk this up to SI's magic or maybe i'm just that good of a manager hahaha

my guess... it's a combo of your reputation/current team reputation that triggers all them msgs. It'll blow over eventually.
