they are going to announce Downey´s casting tomorrow morning apparently. I just read it on AICN. amazing casting and with Favreau directing this is going to be one excellent movie (Y)(Y)(Y)(Y)

has Jon Favreau ever directed a really good movie? Just because he was a good actor doesn't mean he suddenly becomes a mark when it comes to directing.


If you liked Daredevil though, I can't see how this can disappoint you, it's just one of those movies that are plain awful and ridiculous.

Daredevil is okay. Elektra is a dissappointment. The Punisher is good, I think.

I just love seeing more Marvel's superheroes being made into movies. :p

hulk was pure greenish fx's, daredevil... well, i think that kid should stop acting

but this is a great oportunity
remember downey drug problems... and relate them to stark's alcohol problems... plus, is better to have a real actor and not just hot silver stars
anyway, who you think would have been better? 'tommi cruz/cruise'? nah... now, for real, who you think would have been a better tony stark?

I'm not a big fan of Superhero movies at all so, while this looks as if it could be good, it is not of much interest to me. I even disliked Superman Returns which got stunning reviews all around. I've never been into comics at all so I guess that's the reason.

I dont know, I did like them. Daredevil better. but CGI Hulk was very well done IMO. and I really liked the final fight which was kind of confusing, but good. at least for me.

and yeah Downey´s own personal history with drugs will play well if they do a sequel. the first movie will not deal with Stark´s alcoholism they said.

Superman Returns was just painful.

Haven't seen Superman Returns yet, but I'll definitely see that and I'd go to see Iron Man as well.

I think Downey could pull it off, although I confess to limited knowledge as this wasn't one of the series I followed regularly back when I used to do comics (late 80s early 90s)

Once back in Canada I guess I'll get to see more of these films as really down here I don't get to watch too many.

Although it's funny because sometimes the video rental place has the DVDs before they release the movies in theatres here :funny:
