Just Played EA's FIFA WC 2006 Demo . EA At There Best

i tried to play pes/we games many times but actually those menues with that crappy and really ugly font and design of every thing kills me...hehe,of course its a bit hard to learn to play with other keys,but thats really ugly...

for me the physic and gameplay is more important than menues in a game. i played the fifa world cup demo, it's the same crap like every year. the ball feels like a ping pong ball and the physic is very strange.

the biggest flaw in PES/WE series is the referee. The referee is way far from realism, it has been like that since the beginning and they are yet to fix it.
It is inconsistent with the cards and especially in PES5 there are too many fouls called. (don't tell me how to tackle, yes I know how to avoid cards but I was sick of stupid foul or penalty decisions with only a slight touch of shoulder)
I won't even mention the pathetic presentation of the game,especially the commentary with 10 word vocabulary.

The ball physics are great but the game is suffering from the obsolete hardware of PS2 and we will see a much better game hopefully on PS3 (and on PC).

Agree with most of what has been said on here the Gameplay is still lacking immensley compared to PES.

What i did like about the game though was the In Game Updates of how the other Teams in your Group are getting on whilst your playing your game.

Very nice little touch indeed, just a shame the Gameplay is still so stagnent.

Played the game and seriously its pure sh!t. Gameplay, do i need to comment bout it? Athmosphere was cool (fans chants & commentator), cut-scenes was crap and unrealistic at all. After playing demo i thought this is cool game to play for a short period of time but then its just pure crap, not even worth it to play for 5mins, what a shame it is as the official game for WC, EA never improve and always going down in their series, i'd say WC02 is better than this sh!t. Wasted my money.

new pro evos make lots of little changes which keep it moving, and after playing a bit of fifa world cup tonight it could easily take a few things from the ea game, apart from the obvious licenses etc..

- curve to passes and long balls
- game atmosphere (tho a bit OTT) - enhanced crowd, excitement, dramatic intro, commentary makes it feel like tv
- ingame tactics - using d-pad for 4 tactics, and L1+dpad fro defensive tactics
- more original (not dated-looking) cutscenes (and menus!)
- fifa world cup game speed was spot on i think, slightly slow build ups but you can break on the counter quickly enough
- in fifa wc you rarely pass where you want, but its made me realise passing in pro evo is too accurate and easy, its taken for granted now
- penalties - havent figured it out yet but apas you can prick about a bit with the keeper etc
- the use of r2 in fifa gives a better dribbling effect than in pro evo's similar one

WC lacks depth, FIFA 07 I dont think will be much different. They need to learn more lessons from why Konami's game is winning more plaudits.

the game is fun..the presentation very neat and very good commentaries and crowd noise and chants!!! i just finished the game... it is not that bad

the only fifa i really enjoyed was fifa 2003...it was a big change from 2002 n thats the best that ea have done...n the CL game was good effort though
