Welcome to MZ Rob, you've signed up at the perfect time, just before the start of the league like i did last season:D My team is Boosted FC in Division 3.6 in Australia.. Good Luck for your season:) btw what is your team name?

My team name is Maharatta [Default name or whatever, I don't care gives it a unique edge ;)]

Div 5.6 Aus.

I am very tempted to sell 11 players and get all youth and train them up :/ What you think?

Definetely not a good idea... I wouldn't adivse getting youth players when you're just starting out in the first place.. Just try to train the players you have started with, and if there are some players that will never make it onto the pitch then you can sell those off.. When I was starting off I went to have a look on the transfer market and found a few players to kick start my team and then gradually built up from there (note that you may only have 3 international players in your squad).. I never got youth players until I had been playing for a few weeks but its ultimately your decision:o

What about the size for my stadium?
I don't want to have not enough but not to many, currently its 2000, with 2000 seats.

For Div 5.6 what would you suggest?
(geez im a newbie)

Well the proportions for your stadium should be this (this is just a guideline):

Terraces - 75%
Seats - 23%
VIP - 2%

Maybe increase the capacity to around 5000 for the moment (you don't want to improve your stadium by small amounts at a time as the proposal cost is a fair chunk of money), and also, if you've got enough money then add a few hot dog stands etc into the equation, but of course there is no need to rush all these things...

Youth Team
I wouldn't sell all your players and replace them with youths.

Might be a good idea to sell around half the players though if you can get rid of the rubbish ones. Then you could get perhaps 8/9 youths and play the best of them with your best 7/8 current players.

A good tip is to put youths on your subs bench aswell because then they count as having played for gaining experience and form, yet often they won't actually take part in the game.

Remeber sub slots are as follows

1: keeper
2: defender
3: midfielder
4: forward
5: cover for any sub already used in any position

As for stadium just build whatever you feel like spending in the ratio's mentioned before with a couple of souvenir stands and hot dog stands

Hope this has helped :D

welcome to MZ, postbooster! :D

you're lucky, I signed up to MZ when there were 2 games left in the season, and the team they gave me were last and I ended up getting relegated :(

BTW, MZ's really confusing at the beginning, but you'll get the hang of it within the next week or so :hump:

good luck

Build your stad up to 6k or 8k, using the right proportions
http://www.fab.dial.pipex.com/mz/stadium_planner.htm

Even if that leaves you with little money, youll get plenty from the league games, you can probably cover all the costs in one home game.

Then it would be a good idea to get a decent goalie, and buy a forward or midfielder. If you buy foreigners, to me it seems like Swedish players are better than other players with equal or even better stats.

Oh, and please... Don't use the Loser 4-3-3, like Rony there for example, and lots of other people :kader:

#1: I didn't know my formation was a "cheat" formation :f***:
#2: I copied Liam's :$
#3: no need to cry just cuz I kicked your ass twice (H)
#4: I changed it now... and plus, my defensive tactic gets more goals than my offensive one for some stange reason

Yet again, you only need to read the post to find out his team name. This isn't the first time you have done something like this...just look next time, it'll take you a few seconds.

EDIT: Welcome to the world of mz mate!
