Good post Ice (Y)

There's certainly a big difference and superiority between Juventus and Roma.
Roma's players are not showing class...but we understand cuz they dont have any class. :ewan:

Juventus target Palermo pair

Juventus and Palermo are in negotiations over a double-deal that would see Andrea Barzagli and Simone Barone head to Turin.

Don Fabio is said to have already ‘booked’ Barzagli in for next season, while Barone has been identified as the solution to a Bianconeri midfield back-up problem that neither Manuele Blasi nor Giuliano Giannichedda have managed to cure.

i am a big fan or barzagli and i like barone too, but i think there hasn't really been a problem with giannichedda and blasi so far

i mean, when giannichedda plays, you notice the difference, but that's understandable, compared to vieira barone and zanetti would provide the same sort of back-up, no need for them

Ibra: Roma as bad as Ascoli
Friday 18 November, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has entered the verbal battle with Roma with an almighty put-down for the side Juventus face on Saturday night. "It’ll be like playing Ascoli," he scoffed.

Ibrahimovic is not known for an easy-going nature and, with all the fighting talk having so far emanated from the capital, the big Swede has decided to reply on behalf of his teammates with a few verbal punches of his own.

"On Saturday we will win," he declared. "We are better than them."

The Giallorossi have been fanning the flames of antagonism all week, in an attempt to draw the Bianconeri into a psychological battle before the real one begins at the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow night.

Francesco Totti has had disparaging words to say about Juve Coach Fabio Capello, under whom he served for five years, and Leandro Cufrè added a few choice words of his own yesterday.

Remaining unapologetic for hitting Alessandro Del Piero in last season’s volatile clash, the Argentine hard man also encouraged Roma fans to welcome the Turin giants with open hostility.

Most Juve players have refused to react to the comments and attempted to remain above any Giallorossi jibes, but Ibra has waded in, in true confrontational fashion. For the 24-year-old, Roma’s aggressive attitude is a sign of insecurity.

"Playing Roma is like playing Ascoli," he added. "There are no easy games in Italian football, but I certainly won’t be losing any sleep tonight."

One man who might be suffering from insomnia is Capello. The competitive former Roma boss will be quietly determined to prove a point to certain disrespectful former employees, but is concerned about the condition of his players.

No fewer than 14 Juventus stars have been away on international duty and only just returned from exhausting trips around the world.

Pavel Nedved was notably weary after returning from his World Cup qualifying exploits, although he is expected to play.

Roma, on the other hand, had just six players representing their countries in the recent break.

Of those, only Daniele De Rossi and Francesco Totti are first-team regulars and the Roma captain missed both Italy matches anyway due to a minor injury - from which he has since fully recovered.

I may have exagerated with the confirmed thing. :p

but I think him and C. Zanetti are very close to Juve.
According to Sagnol himself it's still open. He was a little depressed that Ballack got so much attention. Now Bayern have withdrawn the offer for Ballack and will concentrate on extending Sagnol. He will make his decision in two weeks.

how is chiellini playing these days? I can't see any games so I don't know.
Only thing I got to see how good he is, is FM06, and that's not very reliable

Abbiati bows down to Buffon
Saturday 19 November, 2005
Christian Abbiati has regained his place in the Italy squad following his time at Juve, but admits he’ll gladly step aside once Gigi Buffon returns from injury.

“I hope he is back to full fitness soon and I can’t wait until he returns,” said the goalkeeper. “I think Buffon is the best shot-stopper in the world and it’s only right he takes his position between the sticks.”

The ex-Parma man has been sidelined since August with a serious shoulder injury he suffered in an accidental collision with Milan’s Kaka during the Trofeo Berlusconi.

In a bid to make up for the setback, the Rossoneri loaned them Abbiati free of charge, and the chance to play regular first team football allowed him to get back into the Azzurri jersey.

However, he realises that his caps against Holland and the Ivory Coast were gained thanks to injuries for Buffon, Angelo Peruzzi, Morgan De Sanctis and Flavio Roma.

“I am fairly realistic,” noted the 28-year-old when asked about his World Cup ambitions. “I know that Lippi has always called up Buffon, Peruzzi and De Sanctis when they were fully fit. Nonetheless, I obviously hope to be part of the committee going to Germany in 2006.”

Abbiati faces more immediate concerns, as he will be in the Stadio Olimpico to take on Roma this evening in what is shaping up to be a bitter grudge match.

“It will be a very difficult tie against a side that is on fine form at the moment. Juventus always give their best and try to win, so it’ll be a fascinating encounter. We are relaxed and going into this game without excessive stress, as creating controversy doesn’t help anyone.”

Hey this idea just came up for me. Is this Pessotto's last year of football career? I mean Camoranesi is not in good terms with Don Fabio and I can see him leaving next summer, so if Pessotto retires, we can buy a new young right-midfielder and give him #7! 'Though I can't think of a good one now.
That would be great :p :rockman:.

and Zlatan really did a good job of showing class before the game too, same with thuram. a little bit of hypocrisy.

i think the only difference between the teams are quality. obviously juventus are a superior side in almost every aspect. throwing it in our faces shows arrogance and cockiness.

but that was a very valid point ice.

Hey can you give us some details about him if you don't mind? I mean what positions can he play, how old is he, and important stuff like that?

Maxwell has refused to extend his contract with Ajax and will sign with Juve this summer.

I knew he was coming here when he was seen with Zlatan and Emerson at some F1 GP 2 years ago.

Good player but we have plenty on the left of defense. Maybe he'll be used as Nedved's sub.
