yeah it brings up the old saying "innocent until proven guilty" but in juves case its like the media have made it "guilty until proven innocent." so grunger i do know where u are coming from. i just think it would be real damaging for the players and the fans if this does result against juve. i mean for the most successful team in italy to be stripped of things and get relegated would bruise the reputation of italian football. i haven heard of any such things happen in any other leagues. so actually the league has already been damaged.

but on another point id simply like to say that the italian media are making out that moggi is the rigleader even though there are a few other clubs that have had thier own issues. id ask galliani how much he paid for the game last nite? i mean seriously those 2 players (i watched the game today) have to consider a career in movies. the are professional dives of the highest order. if people are going to tell me juve is corrupt then how corrupt was that last nite.

I'm not defending Milan either, mate. Considering we have guys like Galliani and Berlusconi at our helm, i'm not too optimistic when it comes to ethics and moral in our case aswell.

Some statements after the Scudetto win:

Del Piero: “A special day”

“It’s a special day for so many reasons, but I want to underline two things in particular: the first is our happiness with regards this scudetto and how the year has gone, because every victory was hard-fought and the joy that we showed on the pitch today was a consequence of that. On the other hand we aren’t insensitive to what is happening to our club and we are close to the people involved, with whom we have been working for a long time.” Alex Del Piero celebrates his seventh scudetto with Juventus; the captain, who received a huge welcome when he took to the field in Bari, repayed his fans with a fantastic goal, the last of an extraordinary year: “Playing is the most important thing and we have consistently done well in every game. I’m very happy to have won this scudetto.”

Capello: “It’s an extraordinary group. I’ll stay with them”

“I have been working with this squad for two years. Two seasons in which we have always tried to do the best that we could do. We were able to, 76 consecutive weekends at the top of the table, 76 times that we have left the field with our heads held high. Today more than ever. It’s an extraordinary group, who have demonstrated their responsibility and attachment to the shirt. As such I will stay with Juventus”. Fabio Capello spoke with enormous pride and satisfaction after securing his second consecutive scudetto with the bianconeri and went on to discuss the events of the last few days: “I would wait, maybe we will have the last laugh…At the moment we are closer than ever to our directors. We are sorry for what has happened, but are convinced that Juve will come through”. Asked about his future Capello responded: “It will certainly be at Juventus”

Cannavaro: “This win means a lot”

An emotional Fabio Cannavaro gave his thoughts after the presentation of the scudetto: “We have been at the top of the table since the first day” – declared the defender – “so for us this scudetto is even more important. This win means a lot to us and our supporters, who we are indebted to for always being at our side.”

Mancini claims title 'fix'

"It is difficult to make an evaluation when you play in fixed championships, in fact it is impossible," Mancini told Italian news agency ANSA.
"I've read of a referee talking about a game from 2001 and now we are in 2006, so you can imagine what I think about all that has happened. It is a very serious matter. The most serious ever heard of in the history of world football."

Dude, how old are you? 12?

The Arabic is only annoying because they keep japping on when you dont know what they say anyway. It's not a very pleasant language to hear if you dont understand it.

The only Scudetto victory that has left a bitter taste in my mouth..

I've been very busy (still am) and I won't be around much but I've been keeping touch with recent events.

Lets get a few things straight -

Juve are the quintessential Italian club. A goliath in the footballing world both domestically and Internationally. Them being targetted in this fashion is even more scandalous than their supposed misdeeds. Only in Italy will something like this happen. I don't want a matter this serious to be shushed up but making a scapegoat of one single club just because its Juve is like the proverbial witch trial.

Nothing serious came of the drug allegations but that case tarnished the image of the club. This scandal is going to have even more serious consequences.

Demotion would never become reality in my opinion. Just too much money at stake here not only for Juve but so many connected businesses.

All this seems like such a bad dream. I wish I could wake up.

just wanted to add that in England the same would probably happen to Chelsea, if something like this came up. and the media of Spain would tear up Barca on such allegations. basicly, all the teams that are at the top, are at the same time the most hated ones (except for Barca maybe).
its a shame the media works in this way, first the accusations, then looking for proof, but hey, its been f*cked up for ages.

Well, I don't wanna talk anymore about this scandal so.. on to another subject..
About the shirt.. any news about next year's home kit? because it seems like Nike is banning striped shirts, like in the Atletico de Madrid new Home..

I've read, and saw (don't remember where though) that the new Barça Home Kit will be like that as well.. so I was wondering, will juve lose their stripes also? :boohoo:
