:( Oh well. I hope Palla is going on loan then, so we get him back in the future. With Bojinov now here it isnt such a disaster... Palla wouldnt have gotten alot of playing time that way anyway. Boji can back-up Ale, and Zala can back-up Trez.

I guess Guzman will be Nedved's back-up this year, and Sculli will leave?

Juventus reject Vieri offer
Tuesday 22 August, 2006
Christian Vieri’s future is still unclear after Juventus told his agent that they had no desire in signing him.

Vieri surprisingly offered his services to the demoted giants on Monday, but the 33-year-old will not be wearing the Bianconeri jersey this term.

Reports suggest that the Turin club rejected his approach after Coach Didier Deschamps confirmed that he saw no need to sign the former Azzurri striker.

Vieri, currently a free agent after rescinding his contract with Sampdoria, is apparently now set to contact Atalanta – another of his former clubs – with the same offer.

The player has been paired with Shakhtar Donetsk and is also considering a spell in Qatar’s multi-million pound championship to end his career, although money doesn’t seem to be Vieri’s main concern.

The 33-year-old striker accepted a reduced £575,000 salary in return for a one-year deal with Sampdoria in July, before cancelling the contract in August, and may take into consideration similar offers.

However, Vieri has not ruled out the idea of starting a new television career in an Italian reality show, thus suggesting he may still be pondering retiring from football completely.

Camoranesi wants Inter future
Tuesday 22 August, 2006
Mauro Camoranesi has told Juventus that he wants to follow Patrick Vieira and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Inter.

Although the club have told him that he will not leave Turin, Camoranesi has long since informed the demoted giants that he has no intention of playing in Serie B.

The Nerazzurri are interested in the world champion and are convinced that they can successfully swoop, despite the Old Lady insisting that the player has to respect his contract.

Juventus are, however, aware that keeping a player against his will may be counterproductive and will consider their options if an adequate bid is received.

The former Verona winger’s agent has also added fuel to the fire by confirming the Nerazzurri’s interest in his client.

“Inter are a great club, exactly the team where Mauro would want to continue his career,” Sergio Fortunato told the Corriere dello Sport.

“He needs new motivation and would very much enjoy playing in the Champions League.

“Massimo Moratti’s club is definitely an option that Camoranesi welcomes.

“We now only need to understand what Juve’s position will be.”

The Bianconeri are understood to have rejected bids of £4.2m from Valencia and Lyon for a player they deem is worth at least £5m.

Meanwhile, the Turin outfit is close to finalising a £2.8m move for Jean Alain Boumsong of Newcastle.

The French international defender is scheduled to sign a four-year contract with the Bianconeri on Tuesday.

if palladino leaves i'll be really pissed, cus it's just been building up with loaning out all these players like we don't need them.
palladino is essential imo we are not gonna find many others like him, so we should definitely keep him.

Juve is expected to announce the deal with Boumsong at 6 pm. Thats an hour from now.

I wonder if we will bring any more players... Barzagli would be a dream :(

Barzagli seems highly likely to join Fiorentina I think.

And why would you want more players? I think the current squad is too good for Serie B anyway.

Well Didier must have seen something in him and he should know Boum really well as both of them are French.
Anyway, I hope it's a "benifit of the doubt" situation and that he will perform good.

Palladino set for Udine move
Wednesday 23 August, 2006
Udinese are close to signing Under-21 international striker Raffaele Palladino from Juventus.

Udinese director general Roberto Zanzi has confirmed that the two clubs have almost finalised an agreement for the co-ownership of the 22-year-old.

“The deal is almost closed,” stated Zanzi. “Our primary target was Marco Borriello but Milan said he was not for sale, so we focused on Palladino following his excellent loan spell at Livorno.”

The player’s transfer to the Friulani may now favour the Turin club in the future, as they have eyed both Dias Felipe and Sulley Ali Muntari.

Udinese's highly-rated stopper Felipe has been paired with Juventus following the summer exits of Lilian Thuram, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluca Zambrotta.

Midfielder Muntari has instead been courted by Portsmouth, but the Premiership club stated on Monday that it was unlikely they could meet the £11m valuation for the Ghana international.

Udinese may now consider offering the Turin giants an option to sign the pair next summer as part of the Palladino talks.

Furthermore, Juventus have not ruled out the idea of making an offer for world champion Vincenzo Iaquinta or the young Salvatore Foti.

The 18-year-old is co-owned by Udinese with current club Sampdoria, but has been paired with a loan move to Turin recently.

74' Juventus substitution. Del Piero for Marchionni

75' GOAL!!!!!! Del Piero sends the Bianconeri fans into a frenzy, from a Nedved free-kick. Trezeguet's header from the Czech's set piece had forced another save from Turci, the Juve marksman was first to the rebound and after his first header was saved, he blasted the ball in on the second attempt, ten seconds after he entered the field
