What justice? If there was any justice he would have been capped on the spot or burned alive. Now he will die in a comfortable jail cell getting full meals and showers like Milošević.

he deserves to rot the rest of his life in jail. killing him would have gave him the easy way out. i'd much rather see him live out the rest of his life in prison than in the middle of belgrade living the good life. they could never make anything stick to milosevic. they'll make this guy burn. too bad they don't allow stoning in Hauge...

I am a Serb. People need to understand one thing though. The war in the Balkans was complicated. Very complicated. Serbs fought for Croatians and Bosnians, and vice versa all the way around. Bosnia was a warzone. People in Bosnia suffered. Those people included Serbs, Muslims, and to an extent, Croatians. I wish all the leaders would have been punished. I hold no revere for Karadzic because he was a leader of Bosnian Serbs. They ALL pushed their own personal gains and innocent people got caught in the middle. My family and home was destroyed. The "Serbs" that you guys hear talking about how it was a tragedy that he was caught are either still living in the past, or were never involved in the ****storm that was Bosnia.
If I had a choice, I would have rounded up all of the former leaders (if they were still alive, of course) and send them to some rape in the ass prison in the middle of Iraq. They pushed emotions and nationalism to the brink in a region that had a chance for greatness. They preyed on the innocent and gullible, people in search of a leader. Nobody won. Karadzic being caught gives nobody who knows what really happened peace. No sons, daugthers, mothers of fathers will come back just because he is in prison. I cringe every time I see his name in the captions. All he does is make me remember. The best thing that could happen is they lock the doors and throw away the key.
Wow, really respectable stuff man, it's the leaders' faults not the engrained ethnic conflict. Zoran Dzindzic would be proud.

I didn't neg rep anybody. Wouldn't know how even if I wanted to. Yes, I blame the leaders. How much hate do you think is in the United States? You don't see a civil war breaking out here even though you have so many clashing ethnicities and religions. You could make a case for all the hate that goes on and the gang related activities and etc... but nothing like in the balkans.
No, I don't live in Serbia. Been there many times as a kid, but never lived. My whole life was spent in Bosnia. And the reason I say what I did is because I saw a Muslim man who lived his whole life next to my house, and fought for the Serbian army during the war, get arrested and treated like a war criminal. I blame the leaders. I may be young, but I do remember how it was. In the blink of an eye, neighbors, friends, family because enemies.
Relax on the assumptions guys. Everybody draws their own opinions. I have a serbian friend who stepped on a land mine when he was 11 running away from muslim snipers. His sister and father died. He himself has shrapnel running down his leg, arm, and a piece still lodged in his brain that can never be removed. He would like nothing more than to cut the throat of every Muslim and Croat that ever lived. I apologize if this offends anybody, just trying to explain how different situations breed different ways of thinking. On the other hand, I lost pretty much everything, and see no reason to hate. Won't bring anybody back. I can't hate the people because I remember how it was before the war. Vaguely.

I have no connection with the region I got a few Bosnian friends plus I used to see that stuff on TV back in the day. Also being raised in a similar situation, I know the people who are responsible for such acts of violence don't deserve jail, its too comfortable to sit in a cell for the rest of your days.
But than again its funny looking at the double standards they hung Saddam as soon as possible but wile guys like Melosovic were given so much time. They will probably put on a similar show for this guy.

And I'm sure more than 50% of serbians consider Karadzic "a Hero". There are no doubts for Nikolic supporters, who make 40% of serbian population.
and you should hate your country (serbia) for what you lost. Bosnians just defended their country like Croatians and Albanians did.

See, I don't want to come off as an ass here but here's the thing. I've been around these forums for a while, I've seen your posts. Your hate towards Serbian people is blatant. I can't fault you for that. I can, however, ask that you at least look at both sides of the argument. There were over 50 people hurt in those demonstrations, many of them Serbs who opposed the protest. You can hate all you want. You cannot, however place all Serbs in one single way of thinking. People like you are the reason there will never be peace in the Balkans. Not because you are Albanian, but because you are one in a long line of people who will never realize that hate only brings more hate. So please, go on living in spite and in anger, full of your nationalistic pride. Ask my dead father what it brought him. Do you mind if I ask what your story is? Your background. God forbid, maybe you saw something unspeakable or something happened to your family... I don't know. I really don't want my rant to be misplaced. Or are you one of many of the younger generation that learned the hate through nationalistic propaganda and he said she said stories. Much like my friend who has nothing left and hates everything, if your anger is justified I have no place to preach.

you're right. pointless discussion. however, you again put all serbs in one group. I have seen the pictures you posted. they can be found on google. I can also provide some pictures of my own. if you would like to see them please PM me, i refuse to post such terrible images. i never said forget anything. i said stop hating. what would you like? all serbs erased from this earth? i never ever justified the actions of few people. time and time again though, you keep plugging the same way of thinking. serbs did horrible things. there are more mass graves that will never be found. albanians did so too. so did croatians. so did muslims. the majority of people in the town i grew up never wanted to go to war. my town had an abundant population of all three ethnicities. but it was declared a law. yes, i blame the leaders. the people were sheep. yes, all the nations were against the serbs. that's not a surprise. i never hid anything the serbian army did. we are no angels. but if you think that albanians are the poor people who did nothing while the serbs are the second coming of hitler and nazi germany, you might want to dig a little bit deeper into history. by all means though, keep hating. maybe you and my friend should get together. all that hatred might cancel each other out. i sure as hell hope so. no NATO will protect that region if the people decide to keep hating.
