fergie better not use smith as a DM!

Keano is our legend, but he is now lack of speed and the fire he used to have.
I want him to be our coach after he retired. He can teach and cultivate our youngsters.

If you really think this will make Fergie(tm) to think about a new DM, you have to be dissapointed. We'll just play Smith there with Jones as a back-up

Shearer > Keane

Big Al kept his cool while 'hard' keane attempts to hit big Al like a pathetic school girl, he's lucky Shearer hasn't a short temper or he would have knocked the ****s block off.

lol an english man knocking an irish man out that is so funny

keano should go to celtic and let united move on what a world legend

is that unlikely then?

what about May 31st 1989 and Jim McDonnell knocking out Barry McGuigan in 4 rounds?

Now for my main point. I'm Celtic through and through and no way do I want Roy Keane anywhere near Celtic Park. If he wants to use the club as a retirement home or somewhere to get one last pay day he can forget it. Besides, he is nowhere near the player he once was.

I feel that he may just be saying he will leave to make the extension Man U will offer be a bit larger

But if he does leave i'm almost 100% sure Celtic will be his final stop in his career

The haaland incident was inexcusable in my eyes. Nowhere, no how, is ending someones career, and then calling them a **** and claiming you had no remorse about it, excusable as vengance for being accused of diving. I dont care whatever history they had. That was plain wrong.

To feel justified about it and to revel in it was more than a bit sick in my opinion.

You forget shearer isnt just an englishman. Hes a northerner.

All these people screaming for a replacement: your team still has money. Relax. It wont be Fletcher/Smith/Liam Miller in that position when Keane leaves

Keane didn't finish Haalands career.

The intention was quite visibly there, and personally, I think Haaland just went with the story he did as a way of saving face. But then again, I dont know him personally.

Doesn't matter whether intent was there or not. Point is that if Keane was to be die from a gruesome death this afternoon, we'd all be cheering.

Lol, you all are talking all this sh!t on a forum, but if you see him in real life you wont be saying that I guarantee you. :funny:

And Haaland brought that upon himself the idiot. He knows Keane is a psycho, and what does he do? He provokes him. What happens next? He gets his leg snapped like a twig, now who's in his rocking chair now? Dumbass.

Anyway, psycho or not, Keano was the best box to box midfielder in the world in his late 20s, no frickin doubt about it, and now his time has come to retire. Still a legend to me.

I love the bloke for helping the club achieve so much, being such an important cog in the team ever since he took the torch from Robbo 11 years ago, an absolute legend. But I wish he'd gone at the end of last season because with him or without him we're gonna win fuck all anyway. It's best to get it over and done with and move on, actually, why not let him go in January. Maybe Ferguson will finally pull his finger out of his arse and we can finally go back to 4-4-2 since 4-5-1/4-3-3's only beneficiary won't be there anymore, so no one benefits from such shite system, and will it be deemed pointless. We'll miss him when he's gone, but like Bryan Robson - and Robbo was the better player in my opinion - there will be life after Roy Keane.

It' s funny and maybe even surprising how some of you folks can accept things like this.......I mean now it' s Keane(by the way YOUR CAPTAIN) .........first it was Ruud saying that after his contract with United is done he would like to join PSV (another club).

Doesn' t it upset you that a player is not satisfied with playing for your club anymore...I know I would be upset it a Liverpool player came out and said something like this....it cannot be good for the famed TEAM CHEMISTRY thing in the dressing room.

1. Given his propensity for picking on some kids from the block, I dont think thats too far from the truth
2. Still doesnt make it ok. Keane may have a short fuse but he still generally acts like a sporting gentleman. He led that honor guard for Chelsea last year with a smile on his face. I dont buy the fact that some people just lose control and can be excused for it. Not professional athletes

The man is such a legend, and so well respected in the sport, that Im willing to bet he could come out tomorrow and admit that he is a closet transvestite and would like to change his sex or something twisted like that, and ill bet he would still be remembered with the same familiairity and fondness with which united fans remember him today

He has earned the right to say whatever and do whatever with his future

I know Ive been hard on him in this thread, but when he stood up for his own player in that Highbury tunnel and made it clear that nobody was going to intimidate his team without coming through him, well, that is truly the stuff legends are made of.

You know, that almost bring a tear in my eye. How come you dressed in blue when you can describe our proud captain with such words ?

Hah, thanks man. Well, eventhough he is technically the enemy, I have alot of respect for him and similarly, a guy like Bergkamp. What they have done for their teams and the English game is unquestionable. Plus, Ireland's my national team and I root for Keano in the national side ;) There too, he inspires the same controversy in me: he is a warrior and a leader when he is out there, but I cant help but remember the hissy fit he threw in Saipan in 2002. I was convinced when he walked out on the team any chance they had was dead. Of course, I got a pleasant surprise :D

Help?

The difference is, that the fans wanted him to retire early. He sure did a lot, but that doesn't grant him the right to be in the team as long as he wants to. If he can't perform up to standards anymore than he should know better himself, that it's time to let other younger guys get a chance in the team. Nobody wants him to leave the club, we just don't really feel like he can perform well anymore.
