hey im suddenly experiencing problems with kitserver, just re-installed pro evo and have never had any problems before but for now some reason kitserver when activated is causing very strange actions, like peoples legs seem to bend in front of them and they just glide across the surface, after 15 secs or so of running with the same player the glitch subsides and it goes to normal. Defintely kitserver, this is a clean installation and when i disabled kitserver the problem goes away, any idea what could be wrong. I've also just switched to a widescreen, dont see how that would change but you never know.

I don't know if its said before, but i'm experiencing problems with playing the same teams online.

Example: It only happens when playing the same team!
For some reason sometimes the shirts are the same color. So some player is selecting home kit, and I see away kit or reversed.
It also happens when i'm selecting a kit, the other players sees the other kit.

Yes i'm using the latest kitserver, using Windows XP.

hey all. i posted an interesting, and i thought very important, thread about the future of kitserver in light of the forthcoming PES2008, and I've had absolutely no replies at all. I really thought it'd be a surpremely popular post as it affects everyone who uses kitserver.

someone please give me some action! what's gonna happen to our current GDB set ups when 2008 comes out? will juce and robbie make sure that for all players who were in PES6 the player ID #s stay the same despite transfers and extra/missing players? please set my mind at ease!!!

i think juce will have to wait until PES 2008 comes out to answer that question, no one knows yet how PES 2008 will work when it comes to kits/squads etc

oi! no need to tell me to be quiet :-) i wasn't be rude or anything, believe me with the hours i've spent editing my pro, there can't be many people who are more appreciative of the work that has been put into kitserver, trust!

thanks for your reply marc, you're right - we'll just have to sit tight and wait with fingers crossed!!

one more thing if anyone cares to help (and not shout at a forum newbie!) - how do you edit the hairstyles of master league youth players (ie. gambino or someone) that you can't access through the in-game PES Edit mode? I've not found an option file editor yet that allows full editing of all the usual appearance stats

Soory Lenoz, there's been a misunderstanding; with "be quiet" I wished to mean only that the things u typed were impossible to know now cause the game exits on the 26th of october, so anybody knows anything about it and only Juce and Robbie could realize something for kitserver but only after the game is out, obviously we all hope u got reason but u can't know anything about it, we've to wait and hope.
Ciao:)

player IDs are quite likely to be different. Also, since it's a "new-gen" game, i'm expecting all of the graphics in the new game to be incompatible with previous versions (unlike PES4,5,6 where the graphics engine was essentially unchanged). So, i'm afraid, the PES6 GDBs will be of no use for the new game, unfortunately.

Thanks very much Juce, that's exactly the kind of response I wanted... not the right answer mind! I wish I'd got into editing my pro last october when it came out and not a couple of months ago... the sheer amount of man hours I've put in - just scary that it might all be lost. Oh well... here's to many many days of PES8 editing in the future! And keep up the good work... seems a bit silly to say but with the amount of player ID#s and .bin files I've seen in the last few weeks, you're basically a celebrity to me so it's lovely to hear from you!

lenoz,

it is indeed a bit unfortunate that you only got into PES6 editing two months ago. I have a similar feeling every year: every time a new version is out, some things get lost, tedious work gets thrown out the window. Even with PES4-5-6 series, the GDB's weren't 100% compatible... However, i would say that the editing you've done is not a complete waste, as you've learned how things work and GDB organization and tools around it. That experience will still come in handy with the new PES, i reckon, and perhaps will shorten the amount time needed to author a new GDB for PES 2008.

juce, thanks again for your message and your attempts to reassure me! perhaps balls will still be constructed in the same way as PES6, and that will at least be one section of my GDB that can roll forward! hehe

seriously tho, i'm so excited about hearing the big news of kitserver 7? and just to say thank you once more on the amazing amazing contribution you make to this community.

one final thing you might be able to help with - i've downloaded a few faces from pesfaces.co.uk etc. which are for the youth master league players - and they have included appearance settings (skin colour, eyes, hairstyle, physique) that I have wanted to edit in game to make sure my faces and players look perfect.

However, as far as I know you cannot reach these players through the PES Edit mode which is how it would usually be done. They do not appear on searches for Unaffiliated or Others (or any other obviously) - so how do I do it?

I'm not a complete newbie either - I've tried using the PES6 OptionFile Manager made by Mephisto and Neogeo64, and whilst this has helped (you can access ALL players in the game, change skin colour, eyes, physique) the one bit it can't do is edit hairstyles. So I'm left with players that look fine apart from have the wrong hairstyle, or even worse, that annoying two-tone hair that comes from having a hair BIN file but no control over the colour of the rest of the hair.

Any ideas? Thanks again for any help!
