This new version (7.1.0h) may help those who get the "ERROR: Unable to load BIN #..." error message in the kitserver.log.
It also takes advantage of operating system's underlying file caching, so it may actually improve the overall performance and smoothness of the gameplay, because the OS has to do less paging.

Kitserver 7.1.0h
- changed the way kiserver works with cv_0.img (BIN loading, etc.) Now taking advantage of OS file caching.

I used it with VISTA X64 ultimate and pes2008 vitality...

(:/) the first impression is that the gameplay was better (performances), with kitserver 7.1.0f and not with this version...

I played online and during the match the game crash, after many minutes of match...


I know that Vista, expecially 64bit version, works better with RAM respect XP, but it works also in different way about his management...

Do you think is it possible that in VISTA X64, this new version could be run wrong respect old f version?

the gameplay with 7.1.0f version was better, improving performances and smoothnees gameplay, respect H version...

EDIT: I tried also G version and performances as like in F version works better respect H versions... not crashes after minutes of a match...

Kitserver 7.1.0i
- name.shape attribute now supports all 4 values (type1,type2,type3,type4)
- fixed bug with high/medium/low settings, which was accidently introduced in version 7.1.0g
- it's now configurable in config.txt - which file operations to use: Win32 API (default) or CRT. For Vista 64bit or XP 64bit, CRT seems to be a better choice (for that, in config.txt, find section "kserv", and set files.win32 = 0)

Why kitserver don't work in exhibition game mode ???

Are kits (not HD) from PES 6 which worked with older kitserver supported ???

1) Juce has said that there's no support for kits in Exhibition mode yet, it should be possible in a future release (my guess the full version of 7.1.0)

2) Well, a PES6 kit kit in 512x512 would work in the game, but it won't be aligned properly on the player models, as the PES 2008 kit models are slightly different, and PES6 kits have the texture already on them.

and the sounserver juce will be done?? like pro 5...
i think most important than kits are the faces and the stadiums, cause we can put more than the game alow us, but kits we can replace the original ones, however its always good to see such improvements, till know, in kitserver, glad for your work JUCE, you are our pes GoD!!!!!!!

How do I use this new kitserver? I installed it but I have not seen the chelsea black uniform that comes in the sample gdb folder. How can I choose that uniform? Is it working in exibition mode or where and how does it work?

i put the kitsever folder in the main folder of pes 2008 and than
run the setup and in the game just the resolution change.

WOW!!! but... Did you changed something in DLL of this new version??!

now with VISTA X64 ultimate and exe by vitality, the game has FANTASTIC PERFORMANCES!!!! Better than in previous version (loading by CRT istructions)

where can i get rest of the kits to play online EPL please help.

and now that anelka has joined chelsea i would love to have him pes2008 so i can add him online please can someone help.

Extract from it only the GDB folder (fix also) and overwrite into your new Kitserver)

[GUIDE]

1) Copy the kitserver folder to your C:\Program_Files\KONAMI\Pro_Evolution_Soccer_2008 folder.
2) Copy the map file matching the OF you are using into your ..\kitserver\GDB\uni folder, and rename to map
3) Run the setup.exe in your kitserver folder and select your pes2008.exe and settings.exe. Click install.
4) To apply a custom resolution run the lodcfg.exe.
5) Enjoy!

Problems:

-Running Vista? Open up the config.txt in the Kitserver folder and change the
files.win32 = 1 attribute to files.win32 = 0

-Remember to use the correct map.txt, insert into your uni folder and to rename it to map

sweet. thanks for posting this link. Tried a couple games in the EPL and the kits seem to work good. I noticed a couple collar issues on some of the teams but nothing major.
