Juce, great job with the KitServ tool but... may I make a sugestion?
Can you make KitServ support PNG files?
Yes, most people use BMP files but if you take a BMP with 129KB and convert it to a PNG 256 colors, the file will take less than 70KB on your disk.
Now, if ypu take 10 team times 4 kits each, you will have about 12900KB on yous kitserv folder.
But, if you make them PNG's instead of BMP's, you would have about 2800KB ONLY!!!

Also, another thing is that the texture format that Konami uses for the kits is very similar to BMP. The only difference is the order of lines, and also you have to swap R and B components for each pixel.

That said, if suddenly all kitmakers start releasing their kits as PNG files, i'll make the kitserver support PNG as well.

OH! I'm a kit maker for the PES.COM.PT team and I only use PNG's even when all other people (my team inclueded) still use BMP's.
I just asked because both WEPictureDecoder and WEGraphicStudio work with the two image formats (and yes, I've tried using the PNG's instead of the BMP's before I posted my suggestion)
Well, keep up the good work and PLEASE, SOMEBODY decrypt the PC kits...
p.s. how do I change the colars? Portuguese Sporting CP is ok but FC Porto and SL Benfica are bad (home kits).

The medium view doesn't look particularly well.
It may be possible to make a better minification algorithm (with anti-aliasing), but this will make the kits appear a little bit blurry.
But, if we don't want it to be blurry, then we may be SOL. Because here's what is happening, i think:
In PES3, every kit BIN only had 2 textures: 512x256 and 256x128. Bigger one was used for close view and medium view, and the smaller texture was used for far view. In PES4, however, every BIN has 3: 512x256, 256x128, 128x64. The biggest texture is used only for very near view. 256x128 is used for near and medium, and 128x64 for far view. I think 128x64 - for far view is ok, but it seems that near view could use a bigger texture.
I don't know why Konami did it. My guess is that Playstation 2 is almost too old and limited for a game like PES4 (Looks like PES4 PC is again a straight port of PS2 version of the game). So they had to sacrifice graphics quality for some extra processing power they needed for something else (like AI). This is only a guess, but i don't know how else to explain the fact that PES3's graphics is better that PES4's.

I put all national kits for PES4 in kitserver file and i fix param_dat file. I use 1.10 patch and i dont have any problems.
