Anyway, great signing. Kluivert has always wanted to play in England ever since he became big at Ajax. Looking forward to see how Newcastle and Middlesborough perform this year.

I didn't blame him, that was just a coincidence. It was also a coincidence that all the coaches thought that he was the best striker in the team and Saviola always ended being the best.

Yes, a coincidence indeed, because the real reason things suddenly went well was the appearence of Edgar Davids. He was the missing link for Barcelona. Kluivert didn't play well after he went back from the injury. But it is difficult to get your form right away from an injury.
I think Kluivert do well in the premiership. When playing at Barcelona he usually played well against English sides.....

Tino Asprilla, David Ginola, Laurent Robert, et al. We need egos at this club.

Davids didn't score too much goals. I doubt that he would have stop failing all those easy goals because davids was on the field.. his problems were that he got 10 chances and he scored 1, the most difficult one.


He's a good player and maybe at Newcastle he plays better. If he wouldn't have been that overpaid he would be still a Barça player, but no way he can be the best paid, that killed him. He needed to move and change his mentality of superstar. Also he's a second forward, as striker he's crap and Barça plays with only one forward.

The injury was in january, he played almost all the matches when Barça was 8º, he was never in form.

I personally think he will learn a lot from Shearer and Sir Bobby this year. What he needed was a change and thats what he's got. I think he knows he's got something to prove and he is going to prove it

i've always been a fan of kluivert's but as a real madrid fan, i've had a hard time cheering for him, now that he is at newcastle, i think i will get his jersey!

We want a good striker since 3 years ago. The last season was only the confirmation that Kluivert is not striker. We wanted him to leave the last summer but no team wanted him and Rijkaard still trusted him.

Larsson is Barça player just because Rijkaard wanted him.. anyway, Rijkaard and Ten Cate=Barça... all the players who sign for BARÇA, they sign because RIJKAARD and TEN CATE want them.

Bullsh*t. Ten Cate was on Dutch television saying Larsson was not on his and Rijkaard's wishlist and that he desperately wanted Baptista. Three days later Larsson signed.
