Knife Trick Problem

im trying to play a burned copy of we6 fe on my ps2 using the knife trick....i got gameshark2 version 2.20 and used the Nero program to burn the game...everytime i used the knife trick though it wont read the disk and says please insert a ps1 or ps2 disk with a red background....does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it thanks......

All ya do dude is, boot the Action Replay/Game Shark CD, click "Start Game" then select "without codes" then on the screen where it says press x to start, perform the knife trick an swap to ya game, wait a few seconds then press X and the game will boot.

i have heard the knife trick doesnt work anymore with version 7 ps2's and beyond.
check your ps2 version, i dont know if this is true so there might be a solution to your problem...

thats the version i have....but it still has the white pin and im able to actually perform the trick so i think thats not the problem

it has a different protection scheme built in i think that circumvents the knife trick.
it wont work.

That could be.. although I have never heard of that... the only problem I heard was on newer versions the white pin to perform the trick was different... hmm any confirmations on this??
