Xavi, Puyol, Iniesta and Dani Alves while still good are becoming old. The end of this era is near. Messi and Fabregas are still 26 so there's probably at least 4 years in them but the others will no longer be that good in a couple of years. Barcelona has a good academy though so I think they may be in a short transition period before the youngsters start kicking in the new era.

It is, but also perhaps true. This was obvious for years, I mean I took him like 2 years ago in the draft to be my midfield lynchpin. I wouldn't blame Rosell though, the fault lies with the managers (including Pep) who didn't play him. Had he been an important member of the squad instead of on the outside, he surely would have stayed at Barcelona.

But Xavi is not good anymore. He belongs in MLS. Spain have so many good midfielders and it's a joke that he'll even get called up this summer, much less start for the World and European Champions.

Guardiola and Thiago are two gifts for you by Rosell, even Javi Martínez, in order to renew Guardiola demanded the departure of Piqué and Cesc + Thiago Silva and Martínez.


Txiki is another genius we are missing, he managed to combine the best of Sacchi and Cruyff. Zubizarreta is just useless and didn't even noticed the Thiago issue on the contract.
