Laws - PES 4 - PC version

The following laws relate to the PC version of the game only, and are correct for level 6. If PS2 users find these inaccurate, then there's hope for this game yet.

1) When a shot first hits the ground and then continues to goal, there's an 85 % chance that the Gk will remain still, whether it's on target or not.

2) When a shot comes in diagnolly, there's a 90 % chance that the Gk will reach it, and probably deflect it.

3) When you run on the wing and cross the ball to the area, there's 97 % chance that it'll be cleared.

4) When there's a 50\50 situation or a loose ball, there's a 95 % chance that the CPU will take it.

5) When the CPU runs through on goal and you hack him from behind, there's a 95 % chance that you will recieve the red card, but when the CPU takes you down in a similar situation, there's only a 10 % chance that he will recieve a red card, and a 20 % chance that he will recieve a yellow card.

6) When you try to create a one touch move, there's a 65 % chance that the buttons on your keyboard will respond too late.

7) When the CPU decides it's time to score against you, there's a 25 % chance you'll able to stop him, no matter what you do.

8) When the CPU attacks and you clear the ball, there's a 10 % chance that you'll be able to regain possession after less than 3-4 rebounds for the CPU.

9) When you finally do get possession and go forward from your area, there's an 85 % chance that you'll be fouled, and no cards will be shown.

10) No matter what the GK does, on either side, there's a 0 % chance that he'll foul a field player or cause a penalty.

11) When the CPU GK takes a goal kick, there's a 90 % chance that the CPU will take possession of the ball, no matter what you do.

12) When the CPU tries a side step, there's a 10 % chance that you'll be able to disposses him without fouling him. It's an almost untouchable move.

Again - These laws relate to the PC version only, as far as I know. I can only hope that it's different and not so scripted in the PS2 version.

13) When you have the ball and you press a button to pass or shoot, 80% of the time your player will stumble and the CPU gets the ball.

14) When you jog into the ball near the touch-line, 95% of the time the ball goes 70mph over the line, but when the CPU tackles you in the same position the ball moves 4 inches.

15) When the CPU takes a shot and your keeper saves it, 75% of the time the ball drops at the CPU's feet/head and he taps it in.


Spot on, couldnt agree more on anything..

But as usual, people will say we suck, and its our fault..

And btw, PS2 is 100% the same

16) After mastering a level and moving on to the next, most noticeably from 2 stars to 3 stars or from 3 stars to 5 stars there will be 0.05% chance that you'll immediately find the next level easy to beat.

17) There will also be a 0.05% chance that you'll not be frustrated by the next level, from things like bouncing balls, lose balls and tackles and freekicks.

18) After 1-2 weeks of playing at the next level, there will be a 10% chance that you'll not be kicking the comps ass.

19) After 3-4 weeks at the next level, there's only a 10% chance of the AI drawing or winning against you during the whole season.

I so agree with the comments on the game playability. The no cards CPU faults are the stuff that really gets on my nerves at the moment. Along with the incredible advantage the CPU has when it comes to bouncing balls (always gets them)...

Not adding the incredible luck the CPU has when it comes to long range shots, especially when its trailing by one... I never score those ***** long range shots...

excuse me but i must say something about the long range shots:

if you try with beckham,sheva or even ronaldinho and while jauge on pressing R2 you have 70% chance for the ball to go in, i scored many goals outside the 18m and with zidane i bounce the post from the center of the field....it need's practice and like the real game a bit of luck

are these actual facts that you have personally calculated or are you using this as a subtle mechanism of complaint? I personally have seen the 0% goalkeeper foul and it has happened twice to me this year alone, each becoming penalties, so that eliminates ur 0%.

Anyway,this was a smart idea, but it's only a matter of opinion so you should reconsider changing the thread title to PES4 Opinion in a Creative Way rather than Laws. And since my opinion is not a law/fact, feel free to constructively argue your point and provide evidence in the format of a video file or pciture file,thank you and have a nice day.

The game really is a laugh..

The thing that pisses me off SO MUCH is the loose balls and stumbling..

Fair enough if it happens now and again, but from start to finish..come on..

If I was to save replays everytime it happned in ONE match I can GUARANTEE I would fill up 2 of the folder1/2/3 etc folder..

Its not just this, its your players touches, when you throw them the ball from a throw-in it hits there foot and goes to the CPU..

I even had a guy fall once when I threw him the ball..

And the stumbling is the worst by far, simply because its outrageous..

Tell me, if my player is running with the ball, with no CPU close enough to him, and I pass it, and he stumbles...what does he stumble over?..

Yet again I could save a thousand replays..

I already have a folder full, mostly of the dirty cheating AI..

I even posted 3 and funnily enough, nobody replied rofl..

I wonder why...
