^^^ has the kickoff whistle gone in those pics?
The default detail doesn't drop untill play has started.
ie. hairlines don't receed and captain armbands don't dissappear until the kickoff whistle

for me its a great difference, you can now actually see all the accesoires(wristband, anckle tape, captain band etc) Finally these things make sense in the game.
And also i think some animations are better, like the running, their arms move more.
I think when the Superpatch comes we will benefit more from this great app! :rockman:

No problem, mate. Everybody has his own opinion, and that's fine by me.

The difference is not huge indeed. Many people don't even notice those little problems, and for them LOD Mixer is of little value. However, for many others, these tiny defects - like disappearing numbers, captain armbands, wrist and ankle tapes; bald foreheads; kits and boots textures switching to lower resolution too quickly - these little problems of the graphics engine were really annoying.

Btw, even on your screenshots there is a difference: look at the player in the top-left corner. With LOD adjustment, that player has a number on his chest, and the kit texture is more detailed. Also, #10 on white team - in the lower-right corner has a captain's armband.

no different ?? ok maybe those accessories like arm band etc. is not so important but fixing the baldness problem itself it already a great diferrence maybe baldness problem only occurs on some graphic card as what i was told earlier so those does not have this problem initially does not feel a difference. Also notice that baldness problem occurs more in WE8I and less in PES5.

btw u need at least LOD #2 to be able to see arm band etc. on WIDE camera. Using ATI 9600 Pro and configuration of 12223 but can feel a little (very little) of laggy screen during long passes but i can leave with that just for the arm band : :)

JUCE: :nape: no option file editor that are able to change referee nationality. I think i need to go flood their forum to add this function in hehe. Btw if somehow u happen to browse thru that part pls pls make a patch for it ya. Thx in advance.

You could turn them all on 1 with the 9500/9600 series. A friend of mine does it and it will still run smooth. :)

One stands in disbelief seeing it's the end of year 2005, and still Konami has the classic 3 options of 'High - Medium - Low' setting for detail.... I mean Juce is living proof that it wasnt so hard for an outsider who wasn't included in the making of the game's encryption, to make the detial settings more 'personalized'...

Which all brings us to a certain conclusion.... there is ONE WORD to describe all the programmers in game companies like KONAMI and EA..... over-rated.

The_Knight - Every EA game I play has extensive settings, like you said all Konami have is 3 settings, they are a f*cking joke.

I used this and change them all to level 2 and they were like boxes? they had no fingers, just a big hand :|

Ah well, very nice tool although I don't use it, baldness never bothered me and for some reason the game struggles to run as good as I expected on my PC, incase anyone asks;

1GB DDR
6600GT Overclocked a bit
AMD 3.0GHZ XP

Only runs good on Normal view, and it's on 60fps.

i got radeon 9800 pro 2gig ram and its superb
makes a change from all the crap about pes5 superpatch were waiting for
(by the way is wolf anything to do with this or is it a bunch of kids)

once again many thanx, all we need now is for someone to put the crowds back in the stadiums
